Gordon gets his hands on the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 GA402 gaming laptop featuring an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS and a Radeon 6900S. In this video Gordon gets it out of the box, gives us a tour of the system, and shows off some of the first benchmarks of this laptop

0% IPC Gains, but they upped the clock speeds. The benifits are the future proof video encoding's. And a huge upgrade in power efficiency. I would suspect 6800u to beat 12th gen 28w cpu's. The intel iris xe on time spy is very good but in real world gaming the vega was better than it anyways. Maby you should do a video on the difference in FPS from 12900hk igpu vs 6900hs igpu.

AMD with zen 4 RDnA 3 APU laptops should be screaming fast on 5 nanometer. With amds continued performance per Wat increases gen over gen: we might see a MCM GPU design in a 16 or 17 inch laptop that smokes the 3090 desktop.
While giving you hopefully the equivalent of a RTX3050 in integrated graphics

iGPU does matter in a laptop like this especially if you want to do some basic gaming while on the road with no option to plug in. with this thing you can acutally do a bit of gaming at low settings and get playable performance without killing your battery in 20 minutes.

I wonder how silent the device was? Is there an opportunity to run this thing completely silent? I-m super allergic to fan noise - I would love to switch to a capable windows machine from my M1 air which I freaking love for its complete silence-

Exciting
To get that much performance in a 14-in laptop is simply amazing to me
In turbo mode: Beats the i9 9900 ks and 3800xt cinebench r20 score that's kind of amazing (while in a 14inch laptop chassis)

Consider that this is the 6900HS and in multicore performance, it is only behind the 12900HK in CB R23 by 12%. I think that is impressive. There is reason to be excited for this series.

Rog strix with 6800m which is $200 cheaper than this and easily way more powerful than this. This isn't worth the money unless you only want the 14 inch laptop with new specs.

Considering the HUGE power difference unless you are throwing all reasoning out the window its pretty obvious what's worth your money for the performance you get.

AMD playerd their cards right. They can't beat a 14 core intel cpu but they can win in battery life and performance while unplugged. Looks neck and neck to me

Hi, Gordon, Could you confirm that fingerprint on power button is cancelled on this generation? It was such a good thing on 2021's model (AMD 5900HS.
