Thank goodness computer component design has evolved so much and continues to evolve so quickly. For example, I'm hoping we'll have 8 terabyte NVMe SSD drives for about 100.00 each in a few years.

Ah yes, the capacitor plague era. Having some stability issues would be putting it mildly. The motherboards used to become completely unusable over time. The only solution was to buy a new motherboard.

Boy did I hate that chassis......There's another variant of it with the PSU mounted horizontally. That was way better. No sled though....as far as I remember..........it's been a while :-)

fun times, back in the days you could easily overclock an 486dx4 100,
from 100 to 120 MHz just by messing with the bus speed a little without the need of massive cooling

As a system builder from 1998, this inwin case was the first case that did not cut my hands. Back in the day the cheap cases had razor sharp edges inside.

I just bought this case off of Marketplace! It has some nostalgic stories behind it! My sister and I have jokes about this case too.

ISA - 8 or 16 bit; PCI - 32 bit; AGP - up to 64bit. It's more likely an external only SCSI card was there for a scanner than storage.

The good old days, when a blood sacrifice to the PC gods were standard practice during maintenance and/or component installs
