Situation: There are now 15 competing standards.
(But seriously, this looks cool and seem like neat features for people who like RGB. Hopefully there is some way to run the fans in a 'dumb' way that connects to normal fan connections, so that if the hub dies (and there is no way to buy a new one), your whole fan setup doesn't become e-waste.)

Imagine, combining this with the new Asus line with the motherboard connectors facing backwards, and even with this new PSU line that the cables are facing outwards, you could use smaller custom cables and it would be a much cleaner build

great another universal serial standard. I thought usb c was enough personally. there are magnetized usb c variants too that can do 100-240w PD

Have they worked out how to put their sticker in the middle of the fan yet? All the Corsair fans I got a had a wobbly sticker in the middle.

If the software is not open-source, nobody cares. To be fair timing the lighting with the fan RPM to make some cool effects is smart.
