In terms of Meteor Lake, I am thoroughly impressed by everything Intel is going in one generation. It certainly will set efficiency records with Raptor Lake level performance at significantly less power, new node, tiles, new architectures, AI cores, new design philosophy and more. I am glad Intel is focusing on efficiency now.
In terms of Cinebench, I will continue using and caring about R23 more than any other CPU benchmark. GPU rendering can be faster, but with worse image quality. I use Cinebench to know CPU performance. If I wanted to know GPU performance I'd use 3DMark, Topaz Labs, and gaming.

Hey Gordo, keep hanging in there. Been following you, Jon, Andy Sanchez, and a few others since the days of boot/Maximum PC. You and a few others have really inspired me in computers and their applications. I'm hoping to see you back in gear and rifting on something that has made you passionate. Hey I'm still waiting for computer audio to make a better return, and now to see if INTEL will be able to pick up the ball again. I've always eagerly looked forward to your take on some hardware/software development without all the marketing hype. I trust in what you say, in this day of well....crappy news/journalism. Thanks for what you do. Looking forward to so much more.

This show finally got me into the pc! I m always amazed at what I can do with my computer and I love hearing y all talk about it. I still have a Full Nerd book I won from when I first started listening and I display it on my shelf. I always look at it and remember this was when I really got into the pc and I m so glad I did. I ve missed you Gordon! It was good seeing you and hearing you on the show again! Please go with that idea of y all looking through old mags and telling stories. Can t wait to see you back on the show again! We love ya dude!!!

Once I saw the opening screen my heart sunk and I knew what was going on after seeing too much family deal with this over the years. As someone that's followed you for literally decades Gordon I can't pray enough for you. Every time you go on a rant you say _exactly_ what I'm already thinking. You're just as much of a grumpy old man as I am, and you're not only my favorite tech journalist, but my favorite journalist _period._
Stay strong, and stay unfiltered. But you're wrong that sometimes there ARE tears in PC Building.

Wishing you all the best in your fight to beat that rotten disease. I for one are hoping like hell you are able to get back on the show and once again confuse us all with your contradictory perspectives which we all love. I've been a long time reader of Maximum PC, and just happened to start reading it again digitally as I just realized today that they are no longer publishing a printed version of the magazine. My wife was wondering about you as she loved your take on things back when you were the editor, so thank goodness you have this podcast so we could find you! Watching this video was very hard for me. I've been a huge fan of Gordon for over 20 years. The best money I ever spent was my long term subscription to MaximumPC. I've read everything he has written, watched everything he has recorded. Gordon has taught me everything I know about the pc. I owe him a huge thank you. Seriously though, nvidia intel etc are beholden to shareholders and the need to generate revenue. Its not like they're just here for the good of the consumer.
That said, yes, we could all show a little grace to each other and the good people working at these companies.

You're 100% right Gordon, you're health is entirely your business and I totally respect it. In the same tone though, as you know people are definitely want only the best for you. My grandparents and both my parents have had cancer so I'm keenly aware of what it does. I've definitely got you in my thoughts and prayers brother, stay strong!

Gordon, cancer has touched my family and it's that fighting spirit and family that gets you through it. I'm not much of a religious guy, but you're in my thoughts and prayers. I have lost family members to that garabage also known as cancer. Their fate will not be yours Gordon, you will fight, you will feel like a leaf in a furnace at times but you will get through it. You are in my thoughts, looking forward to the day you get to say that you are cancer free

Gordon, good point AMD and Intel have been after Apple M_ since inception and you have the data to prove it. Meteor Lake, it has to be good or Intel is in trouble BUT the production chain seems to have bought off on ML working and they would know, pending, extended debugging on exponential applications use to validate a stable platform. mb
