Most Boring Piece Of Tech Gear That Will Make A HUGE Impact

Sometimes it's the most seemingly boring tech that makes the biggest difference. Thunderbolt docks like the Plugable TBT3-UDC3 aren't super exciting to look at, but in this unwrapping video, Mark tells us why it'll change your life. For more holiday hacks

Two things:
1) The link provided does list the mentioned dock, but at $269. Looks like shortages even affect the price on these things.
2) Powering the laptop. That depends on the laptop. My higher end laptop uses 180W. I'm sure this will not support that. My only point is that it will power -some- maybe even -most- laptops but not all. Buyer beware and compare your current adapter power specs tag to the power specs on the website for the dock. And, that assumes your laptop can power/charge via thunderbolt or even has a thunderbolt port and not just USB 4. 0 port masked in a USB-C port.

I did not read the description, nor the comments. I was having a bit of a moment, recalling an infamous line from the movie -Se7en-. Oddly enough, I got close to guessing what was in the box - (initially I thought its a tablet, then I thought maybe a -notebook- style laptop. However, I was actually looking at docks recently. I didn't think my (work) laptop had thunderbolt, or USB-C, but it does!
Thanks, Mark!

Good Video and interesting product. But 60Hz just ain't gonna cut it. It would be like Tesla never providing fast-charging power stations. It would be like cloud computing on dial-up. What's the point? My next monitor (and laptop) will be at least 144Hz, if not 240. Anyone know the solution for that?

Thaaaaaaaank you! I've been using one ultra wide monitor for months not knowing how it'd look when trying to share my screen with others. A second screen has become necessary and I've been looking for a decent one plug solution instead of the mess of dongles that has become my life

Good video! I wonder if this dock has the same issue as my dock that needs to be power-cycled every 4-5 days or it drops USB causing keyboard/mouse stutter and a blank display.

Don't own a laptop (for personal use) but I still enjoyed the video because of the soundtrack: great mix! Is this Adam's work? Excellent done!

Loved the review! Well done. Sadly, this product is unavailable. No matter where one looks to buy it, it-s -out of stock-. Maybe next Christmas?

Dude, your presentation is on point here. I have no need for docks or laptops but you made something as mundane as a dock seem exciting.

My ONLY issue with these is all the wires all over the place. yes I use them. but gosh. the wires. oh. make sure your -things- are powered
