I love the trick for isolating the desired zone. Note: Not sure if this is the case or not, but if the transition area's falloff is linear, it might create a 'mach band' ( if the adjustment is severe ) a visual artefact where the rate of change is abrupt ( discontinuous 2nd-derivative, aka. jerk, whereas if the transition area's falloff is based on a cubic ( i. e. cubic interpolation, aka. 'smoothstep', then no problem. I wonder how Adobe engineers designed this?

I'm new to the Hue/Saturation adjustment layers, so there is one thing that is confusing to me. When you first start working on the layer, the Reds are selected in the dropdown, but by the end of the video, the Yellows are selected. I didn't see you change from Reds to Yellows, so did I miss a step? I just tried it on a model who has some greenish tint in her skin in our shoots, and this worked wonders.
Thanks!

Thanks for this tut. I've been ignoring the Hue tool for decades. Can't remember if it was covered in Photoshop Classroom In A Book or not. I barely even touch the one in Camera Raw. Usually for color-correction, I use the Auto Tone/Color menu commands, LUTs & occasionally the Curves tool. Those Hue sliders were so scary to use due to the minuscule size of the triangles & drastic changes with small movements.

Unmesh love this! This really helps me with my newborn photography! Could you make this an action or would it be better to adjust for each session? If the full gallery has this issue what would be the fastest way to edit them? Make action? Copy and paste adjustments?

This is great! I do outdoor work and because of greenery it tends to reflect on the face too making my portraits look sickly so annoying! I will definitely be trying this. You are SO talented and thank you for sharing your talent with us! :)

Great tut, but isn't it much easier to take a soft brush, select a correct skincolor and paint over the greenish areas in the 'color' modus. No need to fiddling all those sliders. Just my 50cts to speed up the workflow: -)

BROOO this just saved a great photo we took outside in a very bright day covered with fresh green leaves. The green color cast in our photo was awful. This just solved it as if it was never there. Thank you for your videos!

A good explanation of how to set the workspace of a HueSaturation adjustment layer. Since this works on many image processing programs, it can even be used for other programs then Photoshop.

To bring back hue and sat to its original position, simply double click their names
OMG. Wait what?
I have been years going to each cell and writing 0 + enter LOL
Thank you Unmesh!

I just change the tint on entire picture because the way image sensors work, they are green bias and add an extra level of green to all pictures and video recorded or captured.

I had to use different adjustment layers on different parts of a photo. It's annoying to use a layer mask every time. How can I limit an adjustment layer within one layer (shape?
