Thank you so much for sharing the step by step instructions. After going into chrome://flags, I did a search for Number of Raster Threads and received nothing was found for number of raster threads Through trill & error, I believe that it wasn t really Chrome, but the links I was using. Some would download in MB and others would download in KB which takes hours to download. I also tried to speed up Chrome at Library and Chrome still couldn t find anything for Number of Raster Threads Chrome stated that the update that I had was the latest version

This video didn't help for my problem. I have A basic laptop that I use for my college work but I would also like to watch videos on it. However I can't watch videos on YouTube, twitch, website or anything else on chrome. The video load up perfectly but they go in slow motion and then normal again. To fix this the only thing I can do is set the quality to 480p which is not great. How can I solve this ? (Its not my internet as I have over 100 in download and upload and also it works perfectly fine with other devices such as my phone or ps4)

It's not just slow, it's also a huge RAM hog. I think the Google folks are so full of the idea that they're going to be a full disk-operating-system, supplanting Microsoft, that they feel no obligation to memory modesty. If anything, the more territory they take over -- like 400 meg (Yes, 400 meg!) of RAM for a single web page -- is simply more demonstration that they're an alpha dog, pissing all over every corner on the street. They've tried to just dip their toes in being evil, and they're in it up to their ankles. -dlj.

You can use the same steps to speed up Chromium, either on Windows or Linux, since Chrome 32-bit for Linux has no longer updates or support and Chomium is a really nice open source browser which uses the source code of Chrome which it's also the base for Opera, Vivaldi and Yandex browsers
