I literally just dumped google chrome for this browser. I have used chrome FOR YEARS and never even thought about using another browser..... until I saw this video. HOLY CRAP! The browser itself is a neat and welcoming experience. The landing page is a nice touch after every startup, but I love the UI, the simplicity of the settings and the neat options for your CPU and RAM (cool gamer stuff). The really neat thing about this browser is the mouse gestures. You can load new pages with a gesture, open new tabs, reload pages and go to previous or forward pages with just a right click and a movement. Its also on par if not faster than chrome. The animated wallpapers are also just....... MMMMMMMMMM YEAH! I LOVE THIS BROWSER!

I downloaded Opera years ago for my old computer who couldn't keep up with the bloat of IE, Chrome, Firefox, etc,... It worked wonderfully and gave me another few years with the old girl (too bad I fried her in an upgrade...ahem). I kept Opera with my new gaming computer, never having had ANY security issues, and in fact felt less invaded than with the other more popular browsers. I have GX on the new gaming laptop and LOVE LOVE LOVE it's style and personalization. It fits so well with the HP Omen design...all dark and red and just fun to use. IMO? Best browser out there, hands down, if you're looking for a clean, swift, unbloated browser to surf and game with.

i use chrome and when i have 10 tabs open and using 10 tabs and i have steam open and csgo somtimes and all thoes 3 my CPU is at 30% and ram 47% with csgo being the one thats uses the most and the screenshot tool is just lightshot but lightshot is easier and and they just stole the chrome extensions but one thing i must say is that you can make opera gx look alot better than chrome and you have alot of settings to play with but some ppl like me just want a dark mode

I tried it and my computer kept freezing up (I have to restart it to resolve this, which is a problem in itself because my computer has a wierd issue where, on startup, it can come up with 'Thermal System compromised...' and the fans start going like crazy, making a lot of noise. After this, I generally have to turn it off and wait 10 - 30 minutes and try again) whenever I used the browser with nearly any other program.

I remember watching this video when Opera GX was still a baby in a crib. I was SOOOooo apprehensive about switching from Chrome. I originally used Firefox for 10 years, then I switched to Chrome and used it for around 8. I decided to switch to Opera GX after staring at the visuals and all the features like limiting CPU and RAM. I've been using it for a year now, and I'm never going back to Chrome!

once the bloody browser refused to open for more than two months after a update made opera incompatable with the os and hardware , because i could after that update not even get older versions to work anymore , i used firefox in combination with croni browsere until systems later i discovered opera works again if you try to install it. pain in the rectum

In addition to my closing comments, for the past few years Opera has been owned by a Chinese company. My personal opinion is that I don't feel comfortable using Chinese owned software due to the possible security issues and enhanced privacy concerns... Would you feel safe and secure using a Chinese owned browser or does it not matter to you?

This browser looked so visually appealing. it started out fast an quickly got slow. i turned on two security flags and after that all i could get was it's outline with black background an no fuctionalty. could not navigate any where not even settings or flags page. so i went back to chrome and now i know i should never have left chrome.

I really dont care about security anymore. Knowing that google uses your mic for ads doesnt matter and it became normal to me. I've been using Huawei (also owned by chinese company) and nothing weird happend or any changes. Also I dont care about my data right now because even if they steal my passwords they wont find anything usefull.

I downloaded the browser today, and so far, I'm loving the features. The only issue I'm facing is whenever I click on a live stream in twitch I get this message, The video download was cancelled. Please try again. (Error #1000). Also, I tried watching streams on Mixer, but not a single stream loads. Anyone know any fix for it?
