A suggestion of a subject for your next video: a program that guarantees that your files were effectively backed up. Let me explain: I have many HD of different sizes. Backing up files from a 8 Tb HD is not easy, since I haven't others, so I had to back up files to different HDs. How to make sure that all my files are indeed backed up without having to scroll through them all? The best I could think of was using programs that search for duplicated files - but it's not either elegant or practical. Perhaps there are some program that actually does that, but I couldn't find one even searching the internet around. Any suggestions?

Folder Marker is unnecessary when you can create your own icons and change folders to display them. Windows 10 offers the start menu which mitigates the need for Fences. Personally, I use TileIconify which lets me customize my start menu tiles, TranslucentTB (available as a UWP app) which allows me to modify the taskbar with transparency options, and AeroGlass 8+ which allows me to make the window borders employ a Windows 7-style aero effect.

Great video. Most of these are pretty bad. I have fences, didn't know about the others. I keep my fences rolled up and it's super clean looking. Thank you. I'm always on the lookout for a better virtual desktop as I only have one monitor, but need more space for work. I've been using what comes with Windows, because absolutely the ones I can find are for older versions of windows and are sketchy on 10.

Great suggestions. Check out diigo.com. Diigo works as a bookmarking app plus it allows you to add a note as a kind of annotation to help you remember why you bookmarked that site. Plus, you can add tags to help you retrieve the info when you need it. It even allows you to edit the annotation and tags anytime -all free of charge. Thanks, TechGumbo guy!

Good video. I use the folder group concept for all my Android apps on my phone and tablet. However, for Windows, I prefer RocketDock. Been using it for several years without a problem. Scaling of the icons is a really nice feature. I find I can fit all my most used Windows apps right at the top of the screen and the autohide feature is great.

Nice video, TechGumbo! I'm interested in Fences and will be giving it a try. I already use Folder Marker and like it a lot. If you right-click on a folder and choose More icons... you get a few more colors to choose from. Also, their website has a set of 7 CB patterned colors that you can download for free.

Thank you. I find all of these programs useful, especially Fences. Viewers should know its functionality is far greater than making collections of folders and shortcuts. The ability to roll up an individual fenced window, move it around, and snap it to edges is one of Fences' most useful features.

What is your favorite program that changes the look of your desktop or keeps your stuff organized? My favorite is Fences . Those of you that have ever had your desktop folders and shortcuts scrambled after updating your graphics card drivers will know why... Thanks for watching :)

I'm looking for a software that locks positions for my different windows. Each time I start my computer I move my different applications to the same places on my different monitors. How do I make them automatically open to that fixed location? Any tips? Great video as always!
