-scabler172 Deadlifts are an incredible lower body exercise. incorporating great lower back strength as well, however, it requires a lot of each to perform it correctly. even when you're just starting doing them. I would advise you to build up your base strength with the single leg training and you can progress to deadlifts when you feel your strength can support the proper form that is needed.

-CreatureGam3r Yeah, Ok you'd probably buy it, but you I'd guess that you might be too busy microwaving hot pockets and playing World of Warcraft in your basement. Dude just take it for what it is. Jeff has had great innovative ideas that I haven't seen before. what does an -X- matter?

you can also do this at a dip station, hanging a band over the handle opposite the squatting leg. It's great bc the band helps you the most at the bottom where you need it. As you get better, just use a slightly lighter band, or hold it at a lower point where there's less tension.

does your other leg have to go infront of you, is it not simpler to just tuck it in underneath you? cause your still doing the single leg squat OR can you not rest your other leg on a bar or bench so that your still only squating singe leg? someone please comment back

Dear Jeff, are you talking a close look at what's going on over at Athlean XX? You did a whole video on how -toning- is misunderstood, and besides, pistol squats are not really a beginner exercise. Yet Athlean XX seems to be telling a very different story.

Hey Jeff, 'Im getting ready to go to boot camp to be a Marine and were starting to do a lot of fireman carry runs and buddy squats. Can you come up with an episode that can help increase how much weight you can fireman carry and squat with? Thanks.

I just want to say thanks for posting all of this info! It helps. Just did this today at the park with one of my bands. I also purchased the Athlean X system about a month or two ago. It's great! Love it. Love the creativity in the exercises you provide.

Please someone help, i can do this with my right leg but when i do it with my left left leg my quad tendon hurts and i cant go that low without pain. I play a lot of basketball and jump off my left leg a alot, not sure if it has to do with that though.

-milleniumbass having your leg forwards changes your centre of gravity, causing your hips to fire up differently than having them behind would, it's more challenging and allows for a greater range of motion to be developed.

my knees are very bad, will i ever be able to do a pistol squat? or is there a muscle that needs to be strengthened to be able to do a pistol squat? also I'm a professional soccer player, but deep squats give me a warm time.
