15 Minute HARD-WORKING Hamstrings - RDL Dumbbell Workout - Caroline Girvan

Hamstrings, glutes, lower back and adductors all targeted in this 15 minute Romanian deadlift focused session! For this workout you will need a pair of dumbbells or one heavier dumbbell/barbell/kettlebell. I also use a mat to set my dumbbells on and for cool down. The dumbbells I am using for your reference are 15 kg each. Each exercise is performed for two sets! Timer is 40 seconds of work, 20 seconds rest! PAUSE AT BOTTOM RDL PAUSE AT BOTTOM RDL FULL RANGE RDL FULL RANGE RDL 1 1/2 REP RDL 1 1/2 REP RDL PULSES RDL PULSES RDL STAGGERED RDL STAGGERED RDL (switch) 1 1/2 REP RDL 1 1/2 REP RDL 1/2 REP RDL 1/2 REP RDL Finisher: 20/20/20 Full range x 2 dumbbells Full range x 1 dumbbell Pulses x 1 dumbbell Make sure to EASE into this movement. Warming up for 5 minutes at least is important and ensuring muscles are ready. If you have any problems feeling this move in the hamstrings, I suggest you practice bodyweight only. Aim to lower down, hands close to body, chest open, pushing hips back, knees soft until you feel a stretch. Please do not aim to reach the floor. I definitely aim to deepen the depth but this is gradually. Perfect short yet intense workout. aim to make each rep count!

Just added this to Day 3 of the Advent workout plan as suggested. I've known of you for some time but have been really intimidated to try your workouts. I am so excited to be here, though! I'm working hard, and sweating buckets! Looking forward to working out with you in the new year!

That was awesome. Today i rocked up to the gym to do hamstrings but cracked the shite because i forgot my earphones and went home. This workout solved my hammy workout problem. Definitley going to come back for more.

Did this one for the second time -- such a solid hamstring workout, and in such a short time. Added this on to the Advent Calendar 2021 full body workout -- perfect finisher. Definitely coming back to this one!

Due to the lack of time I have chosen this as my only workout today together with some 10 min. barbell complex. Cant feel my legs anymore. I love RDL and this was definitely a fun workout: .

Great workout. Any tips if my back is slightly hurting? I keep my back and neck aligned. Is the pull more with the legs, perhaps I am pulling more with my arms.

RDLs used to be a favorite but I have had a hamstring tear for almost a year and just can't do these. Any suggestions for an alternative?

This was helpful! I always feel like I-m not working my hamstrings but I-m always sore in the right places the next day.
