Thanks for all the kind messages on Instagram and on my last video. Sorry it's taken awhile for me to talk about it. I've been too traumatised to even look at my leg. It's gotten better and I hope it will continue to heal. It'll take several months to full heal, and even still it may end up with a scar which I'm okay with I guess

Hi Chloe You story is so similar to mine I was camping with my family and we were having breakfast, my mom made tea and the table was not really even ( we only had access to a table on a hill thingy ) my mom was making tea and I was sitting at the other side of the table. Everything was going well UNTIL my mom accidentally tipped over the tea thing and it just went all over my leg. I started screaming like crazy and my mom told everyone to call the nurses, and when they came I saw that they were boys, so, I somehow managed to tell my mom to switch my pants because I was in underwear I got carried to this tent place that they had and I kept screaming I didnt know what to do with myself. they gave me a ice Pack, finally and I calmed down and everything was OK, suddenly, and just felt so good. then my brother Carried me back to the truck where they took us back to our camping spot, and I just fell asleep with the ice pack that was tied to my leg. it was very very painful when I took it off, there were air bubbles all over the burn. the next few days were very very painful because I was trying very hard to not do you very crazy stuff to my leg, or move it too much or just do anything with it. we didnt even have a lot of supplies for a burn because we never had such a case in our family before. so it was very stressful for my parents. At the same day I got my scar we did go get some supplies that would last us for about two days. In the first day it always seems like the burns OK and pretty good, but then it just becomes horrifying. your burn will start bleeding and just peeling and then at some point your skin will start training brown, but, thats actually pretty good. It means your skin is starting to heal. The burn might start itching to which is also a good sign. Anyways Chloe I hope that you See this, my burn is actually pretty similar to yours. its type 2 and I still have it on my leg. it takes six months until your burn is allowed to be at the sunlight or something I dont know but yeah

Something similar happened to me about a month ago. Grabbed my chair, the cord of the kettle containing freshly boiled water was stuck in it and I didn't realize what happened until I felt the skin of both my legs tightening and hurting. Piece of advice for anyone in this situation: run to the shower. Not icy cold water but fresh water. If your skin ripped off like Chloe, let it run down from a higher place and gently onto the burn. For 20 min. AT LEAST. Seriously. That was my first reaction, second only to taking the bottle of water in my hand and throwing in on my legs and onto the floor. I learned this in a first aid course and this saved my legs, literally. No scars. At all. Not even any redness. And it was boiled water. I remember my lecturer telling us, I don't care about your over the top remedies (they can come in handy later like Aloe vera, put fresh water onto that wound for at least 20 min. A first degree burn can easily become a second degree one and so on. Unknowingly, the heat keep penetrating the layers of skin. Powered through by your own body heat. So, for anyone reading this: fresh water, immediately. If the skin is open, run it from a bit higher. 20 mins minimum. And then, if the skin is visibly jarred either before or even after cooling it down, wrap it in cling film to protect the wound until you're at the hospital. Hope this helps anyone

Once I had a similar experience when I was 11 years old. I was playing around with a friends motorcycle ( it was a small motorcycle for kids but like it could go really fast) and suddenly I press a button. The motorcycle starts going really fast with me on it, since I wasn't able to maintain balance I fell with the motorcycle to the right but it kept going. The motorcycle was riding me on the cement floor and part of my right arm and thigh were burned. I noticed later that I had a small scratch near my eye and wondered what would have happened if I wasn't wearing the helmet. When the Motorcycle stopped I got up and went to the bathroom, I wasn't able to feel the pain until after about 20 minutes. I went inside to look for my mom and when she saw me she freaked out. I am now 15 years old going to turn 16 on may and there are no traces about what happened. There is absolutely nothing on my thigh (except some fat) and on my arm is like a very thin line that you can barely notice that is like half a shade darker than my skin. I'm just grateful that I didn't get a realy bad scar after that incident. btw, thank you for your workout vids they help me out a lot.

hey chloe, i hope your feeling better, i love your videos but i just thought i should let you know something i found concerning about your experience, i'm a certified lifeguard and as someone who has taken many first aid and lifesaving courses, you should never clean a wound with anything other then water EVER. in the past people did use other substances, but for many years now it is STRONGLY recommended to use only water. i'm from canada and i know our lifeguarding courses and training are more intense than in most places, esspecially in my province (training to be a life guard can take between 2 and 5 years because of age restrictions, you must complete 4 different course with 3/4 lasting at least 10 weeks, with intense writen and practical testing) any of these courses would give teens as young as 12 enough knowledge to do basic treatment on your burn. the fact that a DOCTOR, someone who had to go through med school wasn't sure how to treat your burn is super concerning.

I dont have the same wound my I had a really big ugly wound on my hip so in the shower I was crouching because my legs are sore, and when I stand up my big booty scratched against the shower faucet thingy, and it got a long scratch and it hurts at first and when I got out of the shower it started bleeding a lot, I quickly put a big bandaid on because the other bandaids are too small, and the next day when I changed the bandaid I saw my wound and its full of blood and disgusting and I fainted, and few days passed when I change the bandaid I realize that the surround skin of the wound is turning into like a burn mark shape and I asked my mom and my mom said maybe the sides are the bruise or infected and now I have a fist size scar on my hip the wound totally healed it took 4 weeks too heal and now I still some times itches, but its an ugly scar on my hip, and I did learn my lesson Never ever squat in the shower no matter how tired you are xD

It happened to my face second degree burn last 16 January 2020 a boiling oil from the pan showered (not splashes) to my face like literally half of my face was affected luckilyI was wearing eyeglasses so my eyesight were safe (an accident in the kitchen really hard to explain how it happened) then I run to the bathroom open the tap and shower to shower it to my face and also I put ice directly in my face. It left blisters and I went to the doctor the next day and she prescribed antibiotics and ointments. Now its already one month no scar left and keloid it was more fine and it will take several months to fully heal (for skin pigmentation. Im happy that it didnt left keloid: ( I was sad very sad because of what happened to me because of my beautiful face: ( but watching this video made me cheer up, be more patient and wait for it to fully heal. Just take the right medications and healthy diet to help the skin grow and color pigments.

O gosh, it's been about 6 months ago so I hope you are doing fine now: )I also got a good burn story xDWhen I was about 1 year old I stayed at my grandma's house. As a toddler you try to discover new things and so did I. On the lower table there was a cup which I probably didn't know, so guess what I did. I put my hand inside it. Little did I know it was filled with fresh, hot coffee. My hand was stuck because of the heat and I couldn't get it out. I screamed like crazy and I was rushed to a docter. He thought at first that it was a 3rd degree burn and I wouldn't be able to move my fingers ever again. Lucky enough it was a 2nd degree burn. Till this day, my hand is pretty red in comparison with my left hand. Also in summertime you can see white spots on my hand which used to be big blisters. My grandma had been literally sick because of guilt. I'm just glad I was to young to even remember all of this.

Similar story I had a sore throat one morning and asked my Nana to make tea before a college class. She uses a kettle on the oven (like yours) to boil the water and make tea. She gave it to me in a coffee mug with a top. My inpatient self went to take the first drink of the tea and as I put it to my lips, the lid fell off and the hot tea fell all over my torso and into my lap. I instantly started screaming and stood up. My first instinct was to take of my leggings as well When I ran upstairs to my room to put cold water on it, my skin was already boiled up from the burn. I FREAKED and went to the ER. I got the silver cream too and it helped a lot. It's been about four years now and the scar is gone. At first, it was hard for me to tan after the scar healed up. But after a could summers, it finally began to blend in. 100% worse pain I have ever been in I feel for you, Chloe.

Girl I just experienced a 2nd degree burn injury a week ago on my right upper abdomen from an incident with deep fried cooking oil from a wok that completely toppled over and onto me. Excruciating to say the least. Hospitalized for about a week (had to get xenograft surgery) in a burn unit and learned A LOT Tips for anyone experiencing burn injury: -the second you get a burn Run it under cold water for 10-20 min to help cease the active burning of your tissue. -see a professional asap for severe (burns take days to develop. it looks okay initially, it may look worse overtime so it may be hard to judge)-have silver sulfadiazene cream on hand (The holygrail cream for burn tx)-apply antibiotic such as gentamicin or bacitracin if possible, its usually prescribed to prevent infection of wound

I'm not saying that her burn is nothing to be upset about. But. A lot of people have gone through worse. I have a friend who survived a fire when he was a baby and because of that most of his face and body are permanently disfigured. That's never let him down though as he still thinks he's the hottest thing on the planet, he's great for that. She has one spot on her thigh. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I highly doubt people are going to change how they look at her, she's fit, she's attractive and the burn was on a part of your body that for the most part is a nice smooth surface. If she takes time to go to a dermatologist and work on helping the skin heal properly her scarring won't be that bad. It still sucks that she burned herself but her accident could have been 10x worse.
