The
Eccentric overloading is mostly what H. I. T. (High Intensity Training) is also about. Using all 3 states of the muscle is then the approach: contraction, static (contracted) and release. All of them slowly and under constant tension.
Very heavy and hard on your muscles and joints indeed; takes at least twice as much time to recover (sometimes up to 6-7 days, but has a massive impact on your growth and strength.

Light weight will increase sacroplamic hypertrophy
To actually increase myofibril hypertrophy
Overload is required
As for restricted blood flow. sound counter productive
The pump light weight high rep is a recovery strategy post muscle tears
So youd want increased blood flow on your pump workout to bring in as much as possible to aid recovery

I'm older and I use BFR. The key with BFR is the lactate burn. I do 30 3x15 with 30 second rest between sets. Make sure you're getting the burn near the middle to the end of the first 30 reps. It's gonna burn like hell. That's the majic! Don't wear the band's for over twenty minutes at a time.

eccentric overload absolutely works. But it is nothing new. We used to do that kind of lifting in the 80's but it was packaged under a different name. negatives. Lift the weight up fast then let it go back to start but count at least 3 seconds in doing that. muscle gains were crazy good.

From my understanding from the video, staggered sets seem like the opposite of push pull legs which is also a good technique but you can't really combine the two. So which one would be better for muscle growth?

Bro as you said in the beginning that an advanced level gym buddie could gain half pound of muscles in a month. Are these theories apply on the people who are on gear?
