GET MASS My April Spotify Gym Playlist MY NEW PODCAST CHANNEL Ephrem Molina: Interesting. I don't mean this in an argumentative manner, but as far as I've known, for heavy loads, especially on things like back squats, deadlifts, and benching, using inner cuing(mind muscle connection) has always been a must in my training. Now i did power lifting but when I started I trained with people who would regularly compete and it was something that was always instilled in me. And for reference I saw great results as soon as i started implementing that method and regularly incorporating it in my training. Again not trying to be argumentative but just because I like your content I'm just curious on your take with that. Maybe make a video on it, going more in depth?

mind-muscle connection is nice and all but getting stronger each week is far more important. If you are bench 185 for reps and you are focusing on the connection and ignoring one of the principles of training progressive overload. You will see little to zero muscle growth. it makes sense because if you are staying at 185 what is the point for the muscle to grow and adapt further then what it already has which is why we increase weight/reps/sets/shorten rest times. weight trumps all them though. If you cannot bench 225x5 squat 315x5 and deadlift 405x5 roughly you are still a novice.

I remember a short while ago, I was training with a higher weight than usual. I had a standstill for a long time so I was kind of stressed to try heavier weight (benchpress. So I started listening to a upbeat music and for some reason I really caught fire. My whole body started warming up, I became confident as hell and I easily did a 8-10 rep of the heavier weight. Afterwards I felt dissy and tired for the rest of the training. It felt like I bundled all my Energy together to perform the set. Was this something related to the mind muscle connection?

All my buddy's give me shit for being so weak (on chest exercises, arms, and some back movements) even though I have bigger muscles than them on all three of those body parts. For me at least, staying somewhat light and really feeling the contraction with solid form allows me to gain muscle at a much faster rate than letting my ego go take control. Obviously is different for everyone, but I definitely stand behind that.

Hey Jeff I am excited to hear that you are coming to visit us in Egypt next week, especially since you are coming to Cairo. I would love to show you around or meet up for any kind of activity you feel like doing. I am an amateur powerlifter and body builder myself, and also a scientist, majoring in molecular medicine. So, what do you think? I'd love to hear from you and wish you a wonderful vacation in Egypt.

I can't seem to activate my left bicep. My right is fine but my left is quite a failure. Not a guy trying to get giant guns but it would be good to feel more balanced Have tried slowing it down & doing curl motions with zero or super light weights but just don't seem to feel it. Any tips appreciated. anyone who reads this feel free to comment advice: ) Thanks

Awesome video Yeah I use mind muscle connections to help train all the time and it does really work. Although, a big part of it is that I had a spinal cord injury a couple years ago and getting muscles to work below the site of injury all but requires a mind muscle connection.

In an industry of juiced up meat heads vlogging their dirty bulking, self indulged flexing and lack of basic common sense, its great to see someone who's a good balance of muscle and brains to break the stereotype gym junky. Thanks for another informative video Jeff
