listened to this whole thing while playing call of duty on live. epic podcast. i find the nutrition info for chain-sit-down restaurants varies much more than fastfood places do. this said, i went to pf changs last night, had sesame chicken brown rice and fried lobster shrimp tacos, and woke up 0. 2 lbs lighter. so i really do find that tracking macros and allowing for these different options is more mentally healthy than restricting and causing potential for binging. in reality, if u track all day, go out to eat and track it, and end up 20 carbs over or even 5-10f, youre not putting on body fat or water weight like you are from a nasty binge.

I'm literally going to share this podcast with all of my friends and family Especially the question and answer part This is exactly what I have been trying to explain to people who don't understand nutrition/taking a flexible approach Ugh I loved this and thank you Laurin for the study I wish I was still in college and could do a follow up study I just graduated in May unfortunately though: ( Anyways. great video Thank you for this so much

First thing that came to mind about the LBM gain is that maybe more insulin spikes with the same amount of carbs/fat/protein and calories = more LBM? or maybe the iifym group ate more frequently so IGF-1 was elevated. which probably doesn't matter for non-beginners but does for beginners

I think that an average persons meal plan vs a competitive bodybuilder's meal plan is a big difference. I think that if you did this same study with actual physique athletes with an extremely strict plan you would find better results than iffym

Informative and a great watch over all Great job as always, Jeff I always take away something from your interviews. Watching the way Laurin talk is like watching a female version of Layne Norton talk xD (I mean this in a good way.

If I do order out on prep, I ask for chicken and tell them to not cook it in oil or butter. And I make sure to take a napkin and dab it just in case. And I always bring my scale with me

This would have to be the most informative clip I have ever listened to. I feel like I understand tracking and nutrition a bit more now. Thanks for the great content. Well done and keep it up.
