The Simple Truth About Toning and Muscle Definition Tom: Calves, forearms and abs benefit humongously with high reps. Time under tension builds muscle. Shocking the muscle stimulates growth. high reps it's a good tool that should not be discounted. High reps are also a good way to burn fat. Example: do a heavy 5x5 and finish with a set of 20. tell me after that it does nothing.

Pointless. the thing about -do more reps with a lighter weight- is intended to answer the -HOW? - question. The guy/girl who said the -more reps with a lighter weight- thing, regardless of whether he/she was right or not, didn't deny the fact that you should lose fat to make that muscle show.

To get more defined you simply apply sunscreen to the lines in between the muscles. Then you go out in the sun and tan. Or inverse and apply sunscreen everywhere but the lines in between the muscle. That is all it is, none of this losing fat bs

The truth is that, doing more reps can cause more calories to be burned. That means their losing more fat. So if you're trying to show muscles that are there already then doing more reps will work better than heavier weights.

First video I've watched since getting back from the gym. I heard someone tell someone else that definition comes from high reps. Argh! Great video.

Yes I see what you mean here, but when you cut after the bulk, most of the new muscle just deteriorates doesn't it? How can I cut but keep gains?

Thanks man, I was told the same thing + lower your calories intake and is the total opposite when I started watching your videos
