After working out, your body is primed to replenish and rebuild. Choosing the wrong post-workout foods, however, can stifle your progress and destroy your ability to lay down new muscle tissue. So if you're serious about building muscle then you must pay attention to what you re eating post-workout. 01. Nothing - get your nutrition one way or another
02. Sugary foods - if you go for carbs, get some complex carbs
03. Alcohol - cuts your T production and spikes cortisol
04. High fat - digestion can slow
05. Raw vegetables - they're tough to digest post workout
06. Fruits - it's fine, just get protein too
07. Salt - too much can mess up your other electrolyte balance
08. Caffeine - it's a diuretic, you'll mess up your hydration and possibly sleep
09. Antioxidant supplements - they'll get in the way of hypertrophy
10. NSAID - you'll be less sore, but you'll lose out on gains

I'll add one.
Don't cold shower after your workout.
As it reduces inflamations, you'll recover faster yes but that's not what you want. You want inflamation, heat and repair during sleep. Cold showers are best on rest day, or a day after a workout.

Right now my post workout meal is 50g of Chex honey nut cereal, 15g local honey, 40g isolate protein, 7g leucine, 10g glutamine, 1/2 tsp Redmonds salt. Add a few dashes of almond milk to mix with a spoon. Coach has me eating this within 30 minutes of my last set.

Wow you should be eating veggies and fruit any time of day did I just head that right? Like fruit or veggies will hurt you at all omg yes of course eat with protein and carbs sources but cmon man does anyone believe this?

generally I like to wait aprox 15 to 20 mins minimum after I workout/exercise, before eating or taking a protein shake, to avoid the blood flow being redirected from my muscles to the stomach.
