The Hero 3 looks so bland. I wonder if you can do color correction or LUTS to make it look good enough to use with the Hero 6. I have both, just got my 6 and i would like a second camera angle. I hope the 3 is up to par enough to use.

I say hero 6 doesn't look that much better. Hum, some kind of sharpening on that makes it so so. I like a more faded look too, so if more color correction the hero 6 maybe gets better.

Thank you for this! I have a GoPro Hero 3 (black) and am thinking about upgrading. I use mine mainly underwater, so this video was perfect for what I was looking for comparison wise!

Have you tried the 3 with the proper filter vs the 6? Going on a trip soon and I was wondering if I could get away with buying the Gopro 3 with a red filter.

I Dont trust yet. Gopro is a big company now they have money to pay for reviewer to get promote. 6 and 3 have the same sensor size.

A few years with my GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition, and I never felt the need to upgrade. until now. You can see the difference now.

They only had a difference in colors. Hero 6 was more saturated and had more contrast than 3. GoPro hero 3 had more flat colors.
