Beginner Calisthenics Tips // What You Should Know!
video description
Dont pick a random 1 and a half hour long training plan right from the start.
Start small with 20-30 minutes and start including this routine in ur daily life as often as your able to.
Add exercises once the initial hurdle of starting your workout is gone ideally this includes everyones favourite: cardio
Also if your struggling with reaching a certain number of for example pullups count backwards instead of fowards
because this way your mind goes 3. 2. 1 so your automatically more
focused on the fact that your ALMOST at your desired number
Once your body has adapted to training wich takes between 3 to 6 month you should start to increase the intensity gradually with each workout or on a weekly basis
The more you push yourself the faster you will reach your goals but be careful to not build up so much stress that it makes hate your workouts. Push but stay within your
own comfort zone

Love when you share about calestetics! I don't know anyone who does this style of training. So there's so many skills I want to learn but struggle with the progressions to get me ANYWHERE! I Also appreciate that it takes awhile! That takes some of the pressure off -
Would you be intrested in making tutorials on specific movements and the progressions to get there? I. E how to use resistance bands to help get a front lever or muscle up. Things like that?
You are incredible -

Thank you so much for the wrist tips! Due to a disability I cant rotate my right arm and so most exercises involving arms dont really work, and recently I have been in constant wrist pain. so even though I still have to be much more careful and might still not ever get to the point you're at, it feels so incredibly encouraging to hear your tips and feel like I can look forward to strengthening my wrists and noticing improvements!

In bare foot martial arts, callouses are such a huge part of being able to do the art comfortably and we can be very protective of them. There's nothing worse than getting a pedicure, losing the callous and the next time you go to pivot hard, tearing off a chunk of skin on the ball of the foot. It makes the next week almost unbearable and there's a noticeable drop in performance for about a month. Embrace the callous

Even though I-m a gymnast, I wasn-t been able to do full correct pushups. I watched many of Lucy-s vids and started with incline pushups and reducing the height of the incline. I am now able to do pushups on the ground correctly, with a full range of motion and it-s great because my strength has improved so much and the frequency of injuries has reduced so much. Thank you Lucie -Sending good vibes to everyone here!

I started exercising last February and I had zero fitness. I took a few months off at the end of the year and my fitness went downhill. Since January I have been working so hard and at the park the other day I managed to do the monkey bars (couldn't even hold myself before -. It felt like such a massive achievement I was so proud! It really is such an amazing feeling when you can finally do something

Slow progress yes. I think it was almost 2 years ago at the start of my study to be a pt. I couldn't do 1 pull up in any form. Closed grip bicep active or anything. Its actually 2. 5 years later or a bit longer I can do 6 to 8 wide grip pull ups which were the hardest for me back then. But that's 6 to 8 in almost 3 years! But hey how many people can't still do 1: )

I-m 15 5-9 I was 260 in February and I-m 212 now I see no progress in fat loss for my body. The only thing I see is my arms are flabby. I went down in size for shirt and pants. But my belly is still there. I find it harder to lose fat. At the start I was doing only cardio but then started calisthenics but wasn-t consistent since I was going outside playing basketball

Thank you Lucy for your explaining. I'm 62 years and saw the great moves you can do with calisthenics. So I'm starting out with learning the basic moves and hope to live long enough to master a perfect handstand. It's wonderful to see how you present your video's, you shine and that is super to see you enjoy it so much. Keep posting and have fun.

What would the unique calisthenics pro (aside from the no need for equipment, in comparison to lifting weights? Also, since I noticed you lift as well, do you know if it's possible to achieve the similar definition and strength with doing only calisthenics? Thank you- Oh and do we want the progressions video! -
