I felt like this did not make sense on a beginners calendar. especially given that no modifications were demonstrated. I couldn't even get close to what she was doing almost the whole time and it isn't clear what modification will give mean I was still stretching the targeted area or muscle. I ended up just really frustrated. I feel like I have experienced this with all the stretching videos on the calendar so far. which is weird because for the other types of videos she does a really good job explaining modifications and making it beginner friendly (at least for a significant number of the excersises)

So I stated doing this like a couple months ago I forgot a day and I was a little bust studying and I totally forgot do do the this video workout so I just completely stopped and I never got back to it until now and I did this for about a month I havent done it in like 3 months so will that affect on flexible I will get like will I be more or less flexible

Casey: im going to bring my leg forward and sit down into the splits
Me: ok sweetie, you go ahead - Ill just stretch out with my front leg bent
Casey: now Im going to show you stand up splits
Me: uhuh, Ill just stretch out my other side with the previous stretch and watch your stand up splits

Almost half a lifetime ago, I could do the splits on command. This was a great video to help me get back to that old flexibility- cause I miss it! Thanks again, Cassey and team! Love all of the hard work that goes into these videos and playlists! c:

I used to be able to do the splits on both sides and now I'm back to square one, trying to get my legs straight because I injured my hamstring while stretching twice before. So the advice of not pushing it is really important!

Wow, this really helped me get better with my splits. I haven't been stretching for them in years and now i'm interested again. I've been working hard, searched videos but none really helped. Until today TYVM

Day 11 of the Beginner's Calendar is complete. These stretches felt nice but I'm very far from being able to do the splits. I would recommend doing this video in an area with a lot of space around you.

For the stretch at 1: 34 i dont feel any pain at all! its also how i sit usually (for either leg) just for fun and i dont see the point of the stretch even when i lean down it doesnt hurt at all.

I still don't know what to do when she goes on splits, because I am NOWHERE NEAR that level, even to the level that Casey said is ok to stop there and place a block underneath you.

June 18, I feel like this was my first time doing standing split and I was struggling so bad with my balance ( or may be today is not my day, we'll try this again)
