I'm not sure I'd call North Korea socialist, one of the key tenants of socialism is supposed to be that workers are in control of (or at least have meaningful input on) the means of production, kind of like a worker co-operative but on the scale of a country. North Korea is just a straight-up dictatorship with some social programs.

They tend to appear a lot in footages of Pyongyang, but you didn't mention it in the how do they move around? part.
