Hey chico! I really like your videos but as a expat in Shanghai I have to disagree with you. I prefer the Longhua temple to the Jade Buddha because it is less commercial and it is bigger. Besides is next to the Martyrs Park and there tourist can experience one of my favorite things in Shanghai which is spending time with elders. They will be happy to meet a foreigner and teach one to dance, do Tai chi, singing or just playing music. Ah! In the list of your day trips you should include Zhujiajiao, which is one of my favorite water towns and only 45 minutes by buss.

I when go for business (been 8 times, I would agree with most (except the boat ride and Nanjing Lu (Rd) unless you just want to look, I tend to after work is concluded to take a train for a week in Hangzhou or Nanjing especially in the spring. Suzhou was OK the first time but seems Hangzhou or Nanjing have many more things to see and I have yet to see them all. I guess for Shanghai I would include the Pearl Oriental Tower to look over the city (pick a rare clear day, with its history museum and the Aquarium nearby.

Great video! I came from Shanghai, stayed in U. S for 3 years and now I am in Germany. Those sites you mentions are all great places to visit. And here are some others options you might want to check it out. They are Xintiandi or New Heaven and Earth and 1933 Laochangfang. Here is the address of 1933: 611 Liyang Rd, Hongkou, Shanghai. Enjoy your stay and have fun!

Love it, your China vids coincided with my reading of Dorothy Gilman's Mrs. Pollifax books. Mrs. P makes a trip to China in one of them: and it all sparked my interest in Asia more than ever. I'm normally a Europe girl but I want to see the whole world.

One interesting to think about.
Many countries invaded Shanghai. Japan bombed Shanghai flat HOWEVER, the banks. not a scratch.
hmm. They just happen to miss the banks or are the banksters funding both sides?

If you're close to the Bund, or Nanking Road, and are hungry, I recommend you to walk to Yunnannan Lu. It's a street of restaurants with very affordable price.

I don't know when I will get to Asia but you have made China seem very attractive and possible. Maybe I will get there some day!
