Nice little vid! I live in Sao Paulo and it shocks me how people actually think Sao Paulo has a beach - then again, geography isn't everyone's strong point, but then neither is researching info. ;)
Crime is pretty intense here, but don't forget, political corruption is still crime. Haha. I understood what you meant though.
Most people I've come across though are super friendly as you say, and very accommodating.

Don't waste time on Sao Paulo. It's concrete jungle, lots of crime, and it's a 20 million city with less to see than let's say 2 million Vienna. On top, most areas are unsafe for tourists, and many aggressive, or simply obtrusive people.
