A few comments and questions.
You mentioned the need for an international driver's license when driving a car. You might also want to mention to viewers the rules regarding the rental of a scooter (common on islands.
There is a rule that requires people from some places, like the US, to have a motorcycle designation on the international driver's license. Even if the scooter is under 50 cc. You don't need a motorcycle license to ride a scooter in the US which is under 50 cc. (at least in the states I know about. But in Greece, you DO need that designation on the license (they want the international driver's license as well.
Apparently places were letting it slide, but the Greek government is cracking down on that. The fines are huge for both the rider and the rental place, and the scooters will be seized by the government after, I believe, the 3rd occurrence. If a place DOES rent it to you illegally, the insurance on the bike will not apply.
I think that the EU's driver's license has various designations for motorcycles and scooters and is based on the engine cc. However, the US does not have a separate scooter designation for licenses (at least in every state I checked. So you have to get a real motorcycle license - which sucks since most just want to put around on a scooter.
Even if the states start having a separate designation for scooters, it will take the US government working with other world organizations to establish a designation to be used on the international driver's licenses. Right now, for passenger vehicles, the main ones for international driver's licenses are A (motorcycles) and B (cars.
I have heard that it might be possible to rent an electric scooter without an international driver's license, but I have not confirmed that.
What should one consider bringing as a gift if visiting a Greek family?
What if it's just a Greek individual or couple?
I agree with you that it usually makes more sense to fly than take a long ferry. However, some islands can only be accessed via ferry. So one strategy is to take a flight to the closest island which has a ferry that can be taken to the destination.

Normally speaking I would critique the person making a video about Greece saying What to know before visiting Greece or Best places in Greece. Because really, me after visiting Greece 50 times, and because I love this country so much having researched the heck out of it for 10 years, I can tell that most people saying things like top 10 places in Greece! is just pure nonsense and just shows that 98% of these people know nothings of Greece. However. I think you're clear and well informed Wolter's world.
And that begs to question. If anyone really think that Greece are these top 10 places from various random youtubers, then you basically miss out on 99% of Greece that is never even taken into account in their selection. Yes granted, these places mentioned in the video's are heaven. But Greece is a truly magnificent country and a collection of paradises. The fact alone that Greece is 80% mountains is one of it's most underrated and biggest secret out there. Greece is a landscape and mountain heaven. And there are so many places on the mainland and on the 6000 other islands that will leave anyone breathless every single new day.

Any comments on the countless abandoned stray dogs roaming the streets of Greece? Or the chained dogs in the countryside that will live their entire lives alone in a 1 meter chain, being fed moldy food scraps and dirty water?
Or how the Greek government is doing everything in their power to stop volunteers from trying to save and re-home the stray dogs by prosecuting them with imaginary crimes and trying to force their shelters to close? I don't even want to get to people shooting, beating and burning stray dogs with acid, hot oil or water.
The amount of animal suffering on the streets and backyards of Greece is unimaginable. Mark, I hope could make a statement that would do it's small part in trying to force the Greek government into acknowledging the problem and to start working with the animal rescuers to put an end to this horrible suffering of the stray dogs.
I cannot travel to Greece with a good conscience knowing the money I spend there will go to support people whom encourage animal cruelty, I just can't.

Well better make sure if visiting islands have a very decent. Bag with decent wheels not cheep one the reason why its important that bag will be your car since many roads too small to fit and not many has a proper road and markets are great worth you will try to get lost
Lifts are really dodgy some dont go to the correct floor and Manul door doors wont open automatically and if there are two well that can be fun you can catch one and have a mate in the other. Talk they are tiny one person really with one bag

Greece is amazing and the people there were so friendly, I'm dying to go back one day and see more of it. Just spent a few days in Athens and in Santorini. Both absolutely amazing despite the fact the airport in Santorini was one of the worst travel experiences I've ever had. But it's a beautiful island and more than worth the bad airport experience.

Greece is definitely on my bucket list, just a little intimidating regarding the language, etc. I've obviously done some US traveling but not much international. I did have a Greek boyfriend in my twenties (born here but parents from Greece) but didn't manage to learn much (besides the food) and certainly can't read it, lol.

In my experience Raki i only on Crete. They have othere names other names for it in the rest of Greece. Raki is also the name of a drink similar to ouzo in Turkey so when I ordered Raki on Samos I got some very angry eyes from the waiter. (turkey and greece is not the best friends): -)

I went to Greece back in 2004. My husband at the time is Greek and I went over to see him while he was visiting his family for 3 months. Greeks are amazingly nice! Weve since divorced but I enjoyed the time I was with him and seeing his home country.

About wifi. The least touristic places have the greatest internet connection. Places like Karditsa, and in general Thessaly, Kalamata etc have really huge average connection speeds. But the islands, not that much. In fact is kind of bad.
