we head to Disney's Hollywood Studios to see if Star Wars Galaxy's Edge is still as crowded as it was the first weekend. On the way in we stopped by the newly remodeled Keystone Clothiers, where we found out that you can buy premade droid depot R2D2s and BB8s, as well as monkey lizards, porg puppets and C3POs. Then we headed back to Black Spire Outpost to see the crowd levels, ride wait time and if there were any changes in the land since opening. We also tested out the single rider line on Smuggler's Run, which turned out to be very successful in reducing my wait time. It only took 15 mins from line entrance to exiting the after the ride. You do miss out on the pre show but it's nice if you're just looking to ride the ride. Then we end out the video by riding Tower of Terror for Friday the 13th! We also look for Jenn's mickey mouse necklace, we get a lot of questions about where to find it so we wanted to show you where to look

I was just in the Orlando park 3 days ago - standard opening at 9am. I headed straight for Smuggler's Run and was on it within 20 minutes. I think some people actually pay money for a 6 am opening or whatever early park hours are. I expected much more from this ride - it was fine but it was nothing special. When they say it is interactive - of course its not - and how could it be. There are 3 rows of seats and the Disney people decide what role you will play - like pilot, engineer etc. But it all comes down to watching prepared video of riding in the cockpit of the Falcon - and pushing buttons that really don't do anything. It's not bad but it's nothing new. It is well worth going on once.

Was there on Wednesday, Sept 18. Toys Land was more crowded. Chewbacca never stopped for photos. Mostly cool expensive merchandise and an an amazing attentional to detail in the stores to get people to spend more money on high end SE merchandise. I didnt bother with the ride as I rode it in SoCal. Its barely superior to the 30 years old Star Tours and marginally better than $10 4d rides in a shopping mall.
The Hollywood Studios version is better than Anaheim, but it is sad to see that Disney still relies 100% on fiberglass mountains, same as Splash Mountain, Cars Land, Big Thunder, Beast Castle, as opposed to what Universal did with JK Rowlings property

We went to Orlando Hollywood Studios last week and on Monday it had a 60 min. wait midday. up to a 80 min wait in the afternoon.
HOWEVER, we went back at night, tried the SINGLE RIDERS LINE (3 of us) to the left, and while they can'/t guarantee that you'll all ride together, AND you can't choose a role (Pilot, Gunner, or engineer, we got to all three ride on the same Falcom 3X, due to those waiting in the long lines wanting to all be pilots!
OUR LINE WAIT TIME?
About 5 minutes per ride!

So jealous at so few people there. My daughter and I were at Disneyland Aug. 6 and 7 and it was all over the park, all day (even at rope drop, and even late at night. I'd thought that waiting more than a month after GE opened would mean lower numbers, but I guess everyone went there right before school started, like we did. Still a great time though. Would love to go to WDW, or Disneyland at an off time like this. Thanks for posting.

I just went to Galaxys edge after waiting all summer.
I WAS BLOWN AWAY.
I loved the detail. All the fun mountains.
The blue milk was AWESOME.
Smugglers run was amazing.
I didnt get to explore it all though but next time.
ITS ALL GETTING EXPLORED!

Not to be that guy but it's technically Ronto Roasters, not Ronto's Roasters. A Ronto is a giant creature that can be seen in Mos Eisley being ridden (rather poorly) by Jawas. The idea, I think, is that Rontos are being served on the menu, not owning the establishment.

Thanks for the update! Another difference between building one or buying one pre-built is they do not give annual pass discounts on building one because thats an experience and you do receive 20% off the pre-built ones. at least thats how it is here at Disneyland.

We are going down there for a week to universal. we have two extra days we want to hit up two Disney parks.
Question: Looking at epcot and Disneys Hollywood Studios, a park a day. is the Mid-Day Magic ticket enough time per day?

Hey just wanted to say you need to look into another trip to silver dollar city in 2020 for they are building the highest drop on the raft ride like the one in sea world

Commenting on the premade R2-D2 we thought that was interesting that it was still $100 dollars, but I didnt think about it being more screen accurate
