we head to a media event for Dark Horizon, which is a local haunted attraction that is put on by the same team who is responsible for the Queen Mary Dark Harbor haunt in California. We were able to film in all 3 haunted houses and show you all of the food and drink locations, gift shops and the secret bar! For more info about the event, parking, pricing and more, visit the link down below!

I was staying in this Holiday Inn at the time Tim took this video. While I always try to stay positive, hosting a haunted attraction was a poor choice on the part of the hotel. To start with, I booked a room at the resort months in advanced, and I was never informed that they would be hosting Dark Horizon during my stay. The haunted attraction took up quite a bit of the available parking since it was placed in the parking lot. I was unable to find parking at the hotel for a majority of my stay without circling the lot for a considerable amount of time. The hotel made hotel guests pay for parking which I find unusual, and I was told parking is always an extra cost here, not just during Dark Horizon. So I was paying for parking, but could never find a spot to park without circling for almost half an hour. When I did find parking it was usually near the lobby, but my room was on the far end of the property. I don't mind walking, but after spending all day walking at the Disney parks, it was a bit of an inconvenience to walk clear across the hotel property. Buses coming to Dark Horizon were clogging the entrance to the hotel at night causing traffic to backup onto the main road. Aside from the parking and traffic issues, the haunted attraction prevented me from getting a good night's sleep throughout my stay. I could hear screams and other loud noises from Dark Horizon while in bed until 2: 00 am every night, preventing me from getting to sleep. There were scare actors walking around outside of the haunted attraction area. With this resort having a waterpark, there were of course lots of children at the hotel, and I witnessed a few children who were resort guests getting frightened by the scare actors who had roamed outside of the attraction. I assume they were out for a break or something similar, but it still frightened the children. When I voiced my concerns to management, they did not care. They would not tell me why hotel guests were not informed about the haunted attraction before their stay. They would not move me to a room away from the haunted attraction and noises. They pretty much told me tough luck when it came to finding parking. The management just acted as if they didn't care that Dark Horizon was causing resort guests to have a poor experience during their stays. I understand that the haunted attraction was a different organization than the resort, but the management should not have agreed to host it. This whole thing was poorly planned by the resort. Don't even get me started on the poor condition of the room and resort itself. I guess that'll teach me to try to save money and stay off Disney property. I won't make that mistake again. Again, I like to stay positive all the time, so I don't mean to rant and complain, but this whole situation had me very flustered.

Interesting! We've seen plenty of videos about Dark Harbor but didn't realize somehow that they opened this one over in FL! Very cool! And yeah. Tim. your reactions and comments going through mazes is a hilarious contrast to some other screamers we watch. I too have a different reaction and end up smiling like an idiot completely unfazed while going through mazes. LOL.

I wonder if Tim has been to any haunted houses where all the scare actors are volunteers. I worked one for the first time back in Oct. I only signed up for four nights. I really enjoyed and had fun scaring people Fri and Sat night. It was the Hadji Haunted House here in Pensacola, Fl.

What camera have you used the past couple vlogs? I lost track with all of the changes, and missed it if you mentioned it recently. Looks like this one has more of a portrait mode - where it focuses on the foreground and blurs the background. It looks good.

I went last night and the event is MUCH darker and MUCH scarier than shown on this media night. I loved it so much. It felt like a VIP experience compared to HHN. Low wait times and the same if not better quality houses.

This place looks awesome. My friend is lucky enough to be one of the Djs at this event. Super cool seeing him get into make up every night that he goes. Sadly I don't have time to go this year, but maybe next year.

I'm really impressed by the quantity of scare actors. Universal seems pretty full until you see this, the ratio of actors seems to be at least double. If you like that kind of thing this is pretty amazing.

You spin the Wheel of Mayhem to go up the Ladder of Chance. You go past the Mud Hut, through the Rainbow Ring to get to the Golden Monkey, you yank his tail and boom - you're in Paradise Pond!
