10 for discount) Come with me onboard Qatar Airway newest First Class offering. In recent years Qatar offered their First Class suite onboard their A380- but given that these are grounded what does flying First Class with them look like today? Well I-ve come over to Doha Qatar to find out just that. I-ll be taking a look inside the newly reopened and refreshed Al Safwa lounge in Hamad International airport, sample them premium restaurant standard food / beverage as well as indulge in the in lounge spa. Yes there-s a hot tub! If this isn-t enough I-ll be driven to my plane in a luxury Audi, privately across the tarmac to my waiting Boeing 787 Dreamliner. I-m also in 1A today, my seat of choice on such configuration. Yes it-s near the galley but given the heavy curtains, and that this is a day flight I-m not bothered. It also means you-ll get served first, which is always a bonus. As always I-ll give you a full comprehensive trip report of what it-s like to fly regional First Class with QR and whether it-s something I-d recommend. I hope you enjoy today-s flight review, do let me know what you think in the comments below. Hi Will, thanks, enjoyed this as always.
I have a plebeian/ cattle class question, though: when travelling such as this, with opened doors, superb service, first class lounges, chauffeured rides to the plane, etc, are you expected to tip, and if so how much? Or, are such luxuries included in those flight costs?
Whilst I have prior experience in the hospitality industry before, during and even at one time after uni, the -accepted standards- for such have always eluded me -- and, quite honestly, the first time I was given a tip at my 5-star hotel job, I felt strange and awkward, as I had started my hospitality work at a VERY upscale private male-members-only oil-field club, where no tipping was the rule/ expectation. My, how quickly that alas changed to anticipation and EXPECTATION. -
Not to be gauche, but I anticipate that other viewers might also be curious and desirous to know - so that, should we ever find ourselves privileged enough to travel in first class as you do, we won't embarrass ourselves. It would be wonderful if you could provide guidance for both the airlines/ lounges, etc, AND the hotels you frequent. Thank you so much in advance, for your reply. Cheers!

If someone in my family or I win the Lottery, there's no Question we are flying on Qatar First Class(maybe even Premiere all the way) But, because of your video in my mind I can too. Q: Does Qatar Airlines go any where but Saudia Arabia? And do they offered tours?

IMO. for the cost of 1st class. the Audi and airline representative should pick you up from home/hotel and escort you the entire time! You shouldnt even have to speak. As well as being dropped off after flight. No walking no bag carrying NOTHING! Lol

Recently flew DC to Dubai with a 3 hour layover in Doha. Purchased business class tickets via Amex travel and to my surprise was granted 1st class lounge access at no additional cost. Amazing customer service and Krug was available!

according to seat guru, the 787 doesn't have first class, only business and economy. Maybe the same 'tactics' is done in the USA. Business international becomes First regional. and as this is a regional flight with Qatar.

I love these reviews so much! It's a blast to live vicariously through your videos. Also, the fact that you always thank all the staff so politely warms my little heart. You deserve all the success!

As a 24 year veteran with Emirates, having the First and Business class customers staggering up the forward stairs on the A380 was a joke. Qatar is amazing!

Ah water from the ceiling. Its not unique my brother. We have those kind of things here in india, not only in airport, but also in our houses -

How is that first class? I think you got drunk early morning and they sent you to business class. Obviously you couldn-t tell the difference -
