That camera was removed as a result of a commercial airliner crashing and everyone on board being able to see their fate seconds before it was going to happen. I happen to agree with that decision since I lost a loved one who saw what was going to happen and then died. While you might think it's a fine idea, which it might be, but should the airliner crash you just might change your mind. The NTSB made a recommendation that the camera not be reinstalled, but that was back in the '80s. Those cameras are only available on overseas carriers, not US.

Unfortunately, the Delta A350 doesn't age well. I saw plenty of broken and defect things like separated wall panels that exposed the insulation and allows outside sun light to breach through. The area around Delta One seat control panels had worn off paint and cap touch control glitches. Seats with worn and broken stitches. I already had experienced multiple inoperable USB ports in D1 and Main. The interior is beautiful but the material chosen just doesn't seem very durable. I've taken other airlines' A350 and they held up better in my opinion.

I had a Delta flight from St Louis to Greensboro with a connection in Detroit not long ago. I learned a critical lesson: always be pleasant and nice to the Delta employees on the ground. My connection in Detroit was busted with no more flights to Greensboro that day. I was pleasant to the employee helping stranded passengers and I got a complimentary hotel room and an amenity kit. The passengers who were angry and raising Cain with the Delta employees had to spend the night in the Detroit terminal.

Im going to be doing the reverse flight AMS - DTW in Delta One on this same bird. Its over an hour longer flight and during the daytime. Im really looking forward to my first international flight in business class. Ive flown overseas several times on Delta and the old Northwest Airlines. It has always been great. And domestically, DAL is for sure My favorite!

dislike the detroit dots as well. wasnt entirely convinced the IFE is 4 stars? ive flown this product and the huge screen is awesome, and there are sooo many shows and movies to pick from. seems like you only didnt like the flight map and lack of a camera. camera would be cool but is still just a novelty, yet i wouldnt group that with IFE.

Sorry but there is no way A350 Delta One seat is 5 stars, its really uncomfortable when made a bed and not mention that the screen is like right in your face, if you ask me a 5 stars seat in Delta One is the one in the B777 refurbished delta one suits, now that's a 5 start seat

Dear Jeb, I always enjoy your reports, but Detroit Metro (DTW) is my home airport and I do not find the dots bothersome. In fact, I only ever noticed them after you mentioned them. Maybe you're standing too close to the window! Thanks for your great reports!

I have found the food out of DTW to be subpar. I recently flew out of DTW and the quality of the food was horrible. I thought perhaps Delta cut back on food quality. Flew out of FRA and the food was amazing. Night and day compared to DTW! Wow

Thanks so much for the video. Currently Debating Whether to fly Delta One or Iceland Air Saga class to Reykjavik this summer. Its about 2x as expensive to fly with Delta but Saga Class is not a personal suite like this.

Great Video. i fly this route 3 times a year as i live between Italy and the US. I am in fact flying this same flight tomorrow. Love the 350 and Delta is doing a pretty good job, they better as i own stock!

At Atlanta, Delta is replacing their A330-300s with A350-900s for flights to Paris and Amsterdam. I captured a Delta A350-941 from Atlanta to Amsterdam in August 7. The registration was N506DN.

I hate the dots too! Several years ago I had a chance to get a great shot of a 747 from behind the fountain in the main concourse but those damn dots killed the shot! hahahah. Great video Jeb.

The way to open the door works ok for persons with two good legs, but in a wheelchair or a person with one bad knee it doesnt work. I have a VERY bad left knee. Can not do that trick.

The other SkyClub locations at DTW all have ramp views and theres not really a difference besides the availability of shower facilities! Food and drinks are the same: )

DEFINATELY NOT 5 STARS by any means. Food was mere adequate. If you want the real 5 star biz class service take Turkish air. Most international carriers serve better food
