Watch this video to see what its like to travel on one of the worlds LONGEST FLIGHTS! This is Air New Zealands flagship route from New York to Auckland. We made the trip from New Yorks JFK international airport to Aucklands International Airport onboard Air New Zealand Flight Number 1! This video will showcase what its like to travel onboard the fourth longest flight on planet earth! Well highlight everything youll experience in Air New Zealand Business Class for almost 18 hours. Youll see the Business Class Lounge used by Air New Zealand in New York, the quirky Air New Zealand Business Class seat, the scrumptious Air New Zealand Business Class food, the Inflight Entertainment, and even get a sense for Air New Zealands incredible onboard hospitality. This Air New Zealand 787 Dreamliner flight was supposed to take about 17 hours, but thanks to a long taxi time at JFK Airport and seasonable winds, we were onboard for a whopping 18 hours and 10 minutes!

Once i went Auckland to Paris return with Air TahitiNui stopping in Tahiti and Los Angeles only to change planes. They were shocked that anyone could merely pass through Tahiti without staying a few days. I gained thousands of airmiles which normally gets you 1 or more free flights, but it gets you not much on Air Tahiti where I needed tens of thousands of airmiles just to buy the shortest flight.
It was complicated with all the changing of dates etc. Each journey was 28 hours in total. The return flight back to Auckland was on my birthday and i calculated it was my birthday for 36 hours that day. It was summer in NZ but winter in Paris. I fell asleep on the grass at Papeete airport and woke up surrounded by giant crabs with huge claws.

Id love to do Manchester nonstop to Melbourne and Sydney for LGBT pride if it was ever available, listening to at least one of Kylie Minogues albums as a 52 years old Irish gay man and avid Kylie Minogue fan, as Kylie is the epitome of class, style and sophistication - Ive seen Kylie live at the Aphrodite tour a few years ago and it ticked every box for me - I know that some airlines across the Pacific from LAX to Sydney for example do Pride flights, complete with drag queens and they look so much fun, as Im a big fan of Ru Pauls Drag Race, especially when Australian drag queen Courtney Act was in her season on the show

I feel like it's only worth doing this in Business Class or Premium Economy. I have a lounge pass so when I fly economy I actually don't mind stop overs so it would come down to price for me the biggest hurdal for me flying to the eastcoast of the US is it's over 1000NZD more than the westcoast and my Lounge Pass doesn't get me in Domestic US Lounges.

I knew my country was green but seeing it from up there, certainly looked different, I've flown to Aus but those flights were night time, arriving in Aus in the morning, now that country is brown, nice video by the way, no way I'd do it id go stir crazy, Aus is long enough, and that's 3hrs

Starting mid june 2023 this route will also be served by qantas. Initially 787 Sydney-Auckland-Jfk. Then when the A350 long range aircraft are delivered its Sydney -jfk direct. The flight times are quite smart. Depart 9am Suydney and arrive 5pm same day. Return is 11pm arriving 10am.

For me, my longest flights have been (with connections) Minot ND to Manila Philippines via MSP, thenTokyo and finally Manila, and years ago a flight from Philadelphia to Aviano AB Italy, then on to Athens Greece for a gas stop, then to my final destination at Incirlik AB Turkey.

Your video is great and seats look nice. I can not fly because of the small seats and bad services on most flights. I could fly like this but there is no way I could afford a seat lime this. It must be extremely expensive since you do not mention what the cost is.

My longest flight by time was ORD-NRT in 2015 on a 777. I returned to DFW which I believe is farther from Tokyo but since it's eastbound didn't take as long.
It won't be for a few years, but there's a good chance my record beater will be DTW-ICN

Non-stops are nice but over 12 hours is just too long, especially if youre a normal sitting in economy. I wonder what your rating would be if you had sat in economy instead of business class with flat beds. Id much rather have a 1 stop in Honolulu.

I did this flight in economy about 2 months ago and had to deal with people reclining seats all the way down and I one of them vomited on landing. How ever I had a great time and was really grateful that my parents could afford this trip.

My longest was from NY to Beijing 14hrs. It didn't feel like 14 hrs to me. With the way time flies nowadays I think I can easily do 24hrs on a flight. 14hours today is not like 14 hrs 30 years ago.

Personally, my ideal flight is 4 hours. After that, I become claustrophobic. Taxi times at JFK are amazing. A quad-engine aircraft like the 747 burns 2 tonnes of fuel whilst taxing at JFK.

Just made return trip Auckland to Houston in ANZ's business class. I slept well and really liked the food. Entertainment choices were not great, but I had no real problems with this setup

what a joke, travelling in business class is easy, this video would have value if you were travelling in economy class, this is just two people with too much money and no imagination.

Is there a special link that i will have to get these non stops flights to these counties? I look into places like Singapore, but all I find is two or three stops to get there

Qantas is longer from Sydney to JFK not that I would want to fly that long hope they have an onboard gym so as to avoid DVT. Not that I would want to be manhandled by TSA.
reply

I think it would have to be Amsterdam to Lima, but I'm not entirely sure. All I know is I'm happy I had a seat with extra leg space because at 6 feet 3 I need it in Economy.

TSA is not for international flights, no international airline recognizes TSA. That is only domestic flights within the US.
