Watch this video to see how First Class you can make Spirit Airlines using some Spirit Airlines hacks. Spirit Airlines is known far and wide as an ultra low cost airline. But in this video, we'll share some Spirit Airlines Tips we used on our recent Spirit Flight. Sure, they offer cheap fares, tiny seats, and essentially no frills. But we wanted to see just how First Class we could make the experience

surreal seeing this, I've made this EXACT flight multiple times a year since I was probably 11. Spirit definitely only works if you have firm expectations set, all they expect you to do is know the baggage requirements, find your own way to the gate, and get in. On the plus side, flying with literally any carrier when I get the rare chance to feels like 1st class every time, because I grew up knowing I had to shell out allowance even if I wanted a Sprite and making EXTRA sure my phone was charged lol. But when you can get a flight that's literally cheaper than the gas it would take to get to MYR from SE Pennsylvania where I lived, for 9x less time, it's totally worth it. Bonus points for how stress free ACY, since it's not as popular as an airport.

Be grateful it was just an hour. I've had a flight where one of the pilots called in sick. We had to wait for a flight up from Florida to bring a replacement. 3 1/2 hours. Another time I was going for the day. going to a dinner. One night. 8 hour delay. My taxi to the event was more than the flight since the person who was going to pick me up at 10; 30 couldn't come at 6: 30. People who had booked cruises were sobbing and freaking out. Driving to Philadelphia. Booking hotels and flights to different ports. Worked for me, they had downsized the plane and decided I was stand by. By the time the flight took off there was plenty of room.

I live in the Midwest and you would think there would be no problem flying direct to Cancun with legacy carriers, but they all now want you to make a stop through one of their hubs.
If I'm going to make a connection then I'm going to go someplace more exotic than Cancun.
So I have been stuck flying from Cleveland with Frontier.
I like Frontier, but HATE Cleveland airport.
Spirit has service from Pittsburgh to Cancun direct, but I'm nervous because of all the horror stories I had heard.
Don't they cancel a lot of flights aside from all the brawl videos on YT?

My home airport doesn't have any of the low cost carriers. They briefly had Frontier but that only lasted a couple of years. Flying out of BHM you have to fly American, Delta, Southwest, or United or one of their regional carriers like Skywest, Envoy, or PSA which do business as American Eagle, United Express, and Delta Connection. Kind of a frustrating component about being in BHM. I refuse to fly Delta especially if I'm going west ad it makes no sense to go to ATL to go west if I can book American to DFW. I know it's a hub thing, it's just some of these make no sense.

I dont know care who the flight attendant was (the original one who was coming in on a connecting flight that was late or a reserve they called in) for PR purposes, with a bunch of anxious people waiting at the gate for more than an hour, you should be walking that last 100 yards purposefully as if you care that these people have spent an hour wondering if theyre going to make their connections or the flight at all. Even if the flight attendant was early, strolling that lazily looks really bad. Maybe it was her first day and she wasnt sure she was at the right gate.

In the future why dont you rate the price of the ticket? With Spirit you are paying for a ride, and if you plan far enough ahead, the ticket price is much lower than the gasoline it would take to drive to your destination and that doesnt include the time savings of flying as opposed to driving. And dont forget the safety factor.

Ill admit that when I first flew Spirit Airlines I was nervous because of all the negatives I had read or heard but I've been flying with Spirit for years now and have had never had a bad experience and I thought the flight crew was nicer than other airlines I've flown with like Alaska, American Eagle, United and Delta.

I always fly Spirit from LaGuardia to Myrtle Beach(on, y direct flight there. I own a condo in North Myrtle so I only bring a back pack, upgrade to the big front seats, have drinks and food at the Centurion Club. Youre right, make sure you download a movie or show on your IPad. Its usually a pleasant experience.

Jeb! You certainly know a lot about aviation amd I thought I would tell you as a rated pilot and retired Navy Air traffic controller. The flight levels start at 18, 000 ft amd that is stated as Flight level 180! (Fl180 y
You have a great job and you do a great job reporting the facts.

I just want to say being a resident of NJ and recently moved to SC; check out PowerCutz Barbershop in Myrtle Beach, SC! Great reviews. ALSO, the Hangout at Broadway at the Beach. Wonderful things to do all year around with, of course the warmer seasons have tons of fun activities. Enjoy. Stay Safe.

How to sum up the hate for spirit: Expecting normal airline reliability and service for a $100 round trip. You are paying for a seat on the flying equivalent of a city bus. I love flying them direct to major cities, but would never use them to connect to an international flight.

Sence when isn't there not food on spirit? Last time I flew with spirit I was flying on a night flight so they had their dinner food out so I got ramen noodles I think it depends on what time of the day you are flying depending on what kind of food you get on the plane

I travel for a living. wont ever see me flying spirit. I have watched them give the safety briefing out were you sit before boarding. Southwest is not bad in my book but spirit is just so much lower on the ladder that I would check for rats running around my feet.
reply

Idk why every time a flight attendant is late or is replacing someone they always arrive at a leisurely pace. As if everyone isnt waiting for you to get on the plane. not saying you need to run but show some form of urgency.
reply

I thought you were way too generous with the IFE score! It's cool to track your flight, but it's not entertainment, and if you have to bring your own device, it's not in-flight either in my book. 0 stars haha

I was going to fly spirt from Nashville to Vegas. I got 3. Emails before the my flight. Each time. My layoff was longer. So I was still far enough out I could cancel and book with someone else

LOL. I actually just flew out of AC to FL (and back again. I have to say I love that airport and I LOVE flying with spirit. You can't beat the price and the staff are always nice.

5: 31 If you are in your seat, please keep your seatbelts fastened.
I know what he meant by this, but I love how it sounds like you can just choose to stand for the flight.

You're not the only one who likes Spirit airlines for the plane. Even though it's a low cost, no frills, generally hated airline, I do want to fly on it before Jetblue buys them.

First Class.
Atlantic City. Strike one.
Myrtle Beach. Strike two.
Spirit Airlines. Strike three.
Three things with zero to do with first, or any, class.

Good grief, the tardy flight attendant (or a replacement crew member) finally arrives and s/he is just strolling along at a snail's pace like there is no hurry at all.

Apparently BuzzBallz are not available in Canada and cannot be shipped to Canada due to their alcoholic content. Its a shame because I love the design of the containers

As a Canadian, I once flew NYC to Myrtle Beach. The flight arrived right on time and I loved it. I really never understood what was so bad about it-.
reply

I think Spirit should have the callsign SkyTaxi because the black and yellow. It and United are probably are probably my least favorite liveries.
reply

You fly First Class on Spirit by buying a ticket on Delta or American or United or Jetblue and flying on them and not going anywhere near Spirit.

I actually can't count how many times I laughed out right loud during this video - y'all have so much fun, and I had so much fun watching!
reply

That first class looked this a typical economy class in other airlines, although spirit airlines being an economy flight its reasonable
reply

I hang out at RSW Ft Myers and yeah theyre a huge part of our air service here. Flown Spirit to OH several times and never had an issue.
reply

Spirit is unbeatable, if you got the 78 dollars. Buy the seat, very comfortable. Ton of leg space, and it makes you feel fancy
reply
