I think that if these buses are just going from airport to airport the bus should drop you off in the secured area of the airport, this would be useful for people who start their trips at a small regional airport. By picking up & dropping off after security a passenger starts at a regional airport could go through security at a less busy airport and simply be dropped off at the gate at the hub airport which means they wouldn't have to wait in a long line for security at the large hub. The only reason why dropping off at the front curb makes sense is if the bus is also going to make stops at bus stations in cities along the way.

I think this would be perfect for destinations within about an hours drive of an airport, this could also be a great solution to lack of parking at airports during busy travel seasons. I can think of one cord or that might actually work, Charlotte Douglas international, dropping off at Hickory regional airport. Hickory regional has never been able to sustain passenger service though Delta did try years ago to establish service to Atlanta. There are shuttle services, but having an integrated bus service that you can pay for through your ticket or with loyalty points would probably be very popular.

I've been on American Airlines in coach and first class. I loved first class. I did not like flying coach. I was seated around a Bachelorette party. A bunch of intoxicated girls and one intoxicated male that sat next to me. The Stewart wasn't much help. He flirted with the Bachelorette party girls. It was loud and obnoxious. I can only imagine taking their bus, especially with passengers acting up in coach on a plane. No thank you.

Oh for fck sake, they beat that joke of being on a bus to death. A few times is fine, but by the 12th it gets old fast. And its an hour long drive and you're hoping for some type of attendant to provide services in the future? This was the most annoying I've seen these two act in the videos I've watched so far.

We have an Amtrak train ride where the first leg of the journey is on a bus. This is because the nearest Amtrak station is about an hour away. We do have a local international airport tho'. Basically our valley got the freeway(and the airport) while the next valley over got the passenger trains.

I've taken flight-to-bus services before. My first was with Nok Air, with a bus from Vientiane, Laos to Udon Thani, Thailand. We then took a flight to Chiang Mai. It was not a bad way to travel, except for the fact that I was suffering from the worst food poisoning I've ever had in my life!

My local airport is BOS logan airport but when I travel far, I usually connect in Newark which is less than a one hour flight when I use United airlines. I'm confused why they use a 737 for that short flight and not a smaller plane. (they usually have this flight every few hours)

Flying out of our local airport used to be super expensive, so most people just took the Greyhound bus to the nearest big city and flew from there. This isn't the case anymore and the local airport has been expanded so people just fly out of the local airport nowadays.

This is actually a great Idea. E. g. In India it is not possible for the widebody planes to fly to a small airport but having bus like this would be awesome to take and bring people from small cities to the big airports

I wonder if the 1hr bus ride was more efficient than a flight of that same distance given you'd still have to take off, land, wait for your luggage to get to the carousel at the other end, etc.

Trust an airline to make boarding a bus as complicated and miserable as boarding an aircraft. No thanks. Never ever taking an airline bus. Also why leave from behind security. Makes no sense.

America West used buses from PHX to Scottsdale and Mesa Az. Not only did the buses provide a convenience to the airport / provide 2 additional cities but were great rolling billboards

Dude, Amtrak does the same thing! Watch carefully when you're buying tickets because sometimes there is a lengthy bus connection of several hours between cities.

I wish American Airlines would have a bus from Abilene to DFW. The cost from Abilene to DFW is VERY expensive! I think something like this would really go over!

Not surprised by people's responses. Would confuse me as well! You would expect the coach to be outside of the terminal groundside not airside like this.

Hmmm if only there was a way to travel between Philadelphia and Atlantic city in 10 minutes without being stopped by traffic. If only.

This must be a horrible surprise if you love planes though. I hate bus rides but love plane rides, this would be disappointing as hell.

if Airlines partnered with Local Public Transit. Ogden & Provo UT would be more ticketable destinations from Salt Lake City.

Amtrak has had part legs of travel on buses. Coming from Montana to California, part of the trip near Sacramento was by bus.

Air France operates a bus service between Ottawa and Montreal. I'd much rather have a 35-seater bus than fly an ERJ-135 haha

I wish Amtrak would use the same way of using such a bus. It would benefit me to go from St Pete to catch the Silver Star

When public transit is so bad in America, that inter-city bus services have to be bundled in an airline ticket.
