How To Fly on a Classic Soviet Airliner for Less than 30! NGC1433: Great vid! I didn't even realize this possibility exists! And I'm from eastern europe myself.
I'd also ask you politely but very insistently to stop talking condescendingly about Ryanair comforts. They provide absolutely incredible value, they give the gift of travel to much less fortunately situated people than you are lucky to be. As an example, for me Ryanair was the only possibility to see europe, visit my friend studying in Liverpool and such. I would not utter a word of complain teven if I had to fly in an unheated luggage compartment with three hundred baboons roaming around, let alone crying babies.
I would ask you to realize, that you would spend more even if you walked or hitchhiked, just think of that, before complaining about ryanairs babies. Like in Etihad planes all babies are magically asleep all the flight.
Yes, I am a raging fanboy, Ryanair granted me visits to places I would never afford otherwise, (like Riga to Lisbon roundtrip for 140 eur, sue me: D

0: 35 To be honest, as a Northerner, I would not pay that money, even if I did have it As a Scot, I completely agree, Butthole Lane sums it up: )
When you went into that hotel lift, for a moment I thought you had entered the rear wagon of the child catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!
Jeeze, that APU and the poor guy operating it, unique toilet on this aircraft, stainless steel for miles and miles, incredible journey all round, thanks.

Thanks for such fantastic video, I'm glad that you liked the flight! Special thanks for the video of winter streets. I also took a flight recently on the same aircraft you did and recorded a video, doing it for fun instead of taking a usual night-train.
Hope you visit us again soon
PS If you'd like to fly on An-140, I recommend to research statistics of this company flights, because they choosing aircraft kind of randomly.

Because Im sure no one in the comments have asked, or Ive missed you explaining it; why are the windows like that? Especially when they have an identical aircraft with normal windows. My only guess could be that it was a combo cargo plane, but that doesnt make sense. Colour me confused.

Just a tip if you go to Kiev again. Next to Zhulyany, Antonov actually has a museum. The museum has a bunch of Antonov, Illushin, Tupolev, Yakovlev, Sukhoi and MiG aircraft and you can even enter a few of them. Well worth a visit and i think it was only 50uah (lesser than 2 pound)

Do any of the Eastern European airlines still fly the TU-134, AN-12, IL-62, TU-154, IL-86, or the IL-96? Any of those would be a real trip to fly on. if they are not all grounded/out of service. Keep up your good work on the videos. Pastor Dean.

Great series, mate but might want to do some work with the music. Specifically is so loud compared to your narration. I have to up the volume of your commentary and down the volume with the speaker bursting music, rather annoying.

Zhulyany is a shame of Kyiv. No infrastructure, only warehouses and old industrial zone around, bad road condition, No transportation (only Taxi, Trolleybus and deadly Marshrutka. Boryspil much better, it more people-oriented.

Audio has major issues. The Db Range between the music and your talking was way too spread. I had to raise the volume a lot to hear what you were saying, then the music blasts on. very annoying. good video though

Idk how you do it. Im just as interested and fascinated by aviation. Just way less knowledgeable given my only couple chances flying in the states. Id prob only trust you to make such trips with lol

And for those under 30 who have probably never been on a flight without a TV in front of you, do this when travelling abroad. Bring a deck of playing cards with you. You're welcome.

Enjoyed the flight. loved the old twin prop AN-24. Looked like a fairly smooth ride. no frills, but did it's job. Thanks. Let me know about your VW Passat TDI. Cheers! Pastor Dean.

As someone who has done ramp, 17: 00 is quite possibly the most insane GPU disconnect I've ever seen! And I've had quite the butt whole clenching GPU disconnects myself!

06: 20 I was expecting some deranged Soviet colonel who didn't know the cold-war was over to jump out and grab you as a danger to the motherland. :)

Being someone who is born in Kiev it's priceless to see your spot on reaction to those half abandoned places & 20 pound luxury: D

I flew from liviv to Kiev on this plane to watch the champions league final in2018 I shit myself but the flight was smooth amazing

There's something very wrong with that synth around 13: 00, I really treasure how loud you make it when you're not talking

You need to either start looking up the real-feel temperatures of the places where you travel to, or bring a winter jacket.

I personally loved the hotel room. I grew up in an ultra modern city so a bit of retro is very much appreciated!

Is the fact that youre drinking a corona at the airport the reason why this video shows up on my home page?
