Qantas London to Perth Full Flight: Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (Inaugural Flight) Patrick: What a fantastic flight!
Tried to follow every minute of it, but 17 hours is a L O N G time to watch this video continuously, so scrobbled through the quieter parts!
I have never flown with them, as of yet, but I understand that Quantas is a very good airline?
As most of the Video was outside the window, I didnt get to see, a lot of quantass inflight service, I see you get 2 meals-one about 4 hours into the flight, and the other, about 16 hours?
-im pretty sure that Quantas do 3 main meal services, or perhaps I scrobbled through the mid-flight meal without noticing? -and I am also aware that you flew in Economy, nevertheless it seems the atmosphere in-flight seemed to be very good, and you even got to shake hands with the Captain, as you were getting off the plane!
It would be very nice if you could have done a highlight video, of this flight, with all the in-flight service, for such an extra-long flight!

That was almost the full distance to the Southern Oracle. No need to fly on the back of a luck dragon this time but instead on this wonderful Boeing 787-9. Hats off to you Noel for putting this incredible video together. From the exhilarating thrust of take off, the fascinating airshow maps, the relaxation of the night time white noise (in sleepy chunks, appreciating the vastness of the Indian Ocean and of course descent, approach and landing, I am glad I finally took the time to enjoy every minute of these 17 plus hours. Experiencing this is the next best thing especially in these restricting times for travel and now I feel inspired to try this journey for myself one day. Thank you!

The M on the staff members hi-vis bib is Menzies Aviation, which correct me if I am wrong but is actually part of the same Menzies group that supplies newspapers, magazines etc to Newsagents and Supermarkets across the UK and what used to be known as the well known John Menzies brand. People of a particular age group will remember them as being more popular than WH Smiths most High Streets in the UK had at least one as did many of the bigger railway stations and airports. They are actually a Scottish brand.
Long since left the British High Street though. Shame, really because they were a real Scottish success story.

I cannot believe these parents who did this with KIDS! As a mom of 4, I can't help but think what a nightmare that would be. But it seemed like these kids were well behaved so way to go: ) I had to chuckle at the last hour with the poor baby crying combined with the gentlemen snoring lol. Great video and I like watching these and cruise ship videos because you couldn't pay me to get on a 17 hour flight or a cruise ship haha.

Thank you. me and my wife popped this on the telly and set out deck chairs up adjacent to the tv screen (our window for the 17 hour duration. We had our meals and snacks only when you did and adhered to the seat belt sign. Got to say it was exhilarating, and a lot cheaper than the real thing. Besides, you wouldn't get me on one of them tin can death traps anyhoo.

Please, what kind of device you used to film your flight? Was it a real camcorder, or a smartphone, maybe GoPro? Can you share a trick or a hint how to keep it affixed, static in place? Do you recommend a small tripod with a clamp fastened to the armrest, or would it be better with suction cup? Thank you.

Delightful Noel! Thank you for this wonderful contribution. I am raising my last child and he has two years to go. With your help with pieces of art like this, I am already making a list of trips and destinations my wife and I want to visit when he is finally at college. THANK YOU!

This guy gets a high-five from me for being brave enough to fly that flight in coach/economy! Even though he had a window seat, having a full airplane with the seat next to you occupied would be a nightmare.

Watching from Perth now! I live right near the Indian Ocean right under the flight path, you guys probably flew over my house! Congratulations to the pilots for a very successful inaugural Dreamliner flight!
