When ECONOMY beats BUSINESS CLASS! Air SERBIA travel: As someone who worked as a check-in agent for years I can explain you why this human ping-pong effect happened to Noel
Check-in agents have to deal with a shitload of passengers who just want to ask general information like where is the security, where is the toilet which is not the part of the agents' job to answer for. Of course you can say, shouldn't it be normal and a responsibility for all airport staff to help passengers in need? Well usually we always helped but when you have a lot of work to do and signs are everywhere in the terminal giving directions and stuff and yet there is the 6899th passenger in your shift asking the same shit despite there is an information desk with staff that is paid for giving general information you would react the same. The guy at the check in probably thought by Noel's reserved and nice approach that he just needs general information that is why he was sent to the information desk. I am pretty sure if he had said that he needed a stamp the guy would have dealt with him but of course its not Noel's fault.
I just wanted you guys to understand the background of this whole scene

Did BRU-Belgrade return. In business both stretches. Was allowed in the Diamond lounge at BRU. Priority boarding, security. Only one in business. Immediately served with drinks, food, coffee. Got my first Serbian language lessons hvala.
Return flight also early. Could use the Air Serbia lounge. Hot food as well and free shower room! 3 now in business. Good service again. Dobro dobro
I keep this airline in mind also for other destinations such as Greece and beyond.
Oh yeah, the Moskwa hotel: I enjoyed some cake and fancy wine at the terrace, watching the plebs taking the trolly busses. Good swift service.
Serbia: the last free country in Europe
Extra note: I met former minister Vuc Draskovic having lunch at the Sava river.

Serving you coffiie fiirst could have made all the difference cause I know the breakfast you were gven and its usually qute great. Look with me, 14: 43, an omelete, 2 types of bread both rich with cereals, rustic fresh potatoes (not some fast food pomfrit) which were not sauered intentionally so you could eat them iif you cannot eat salt, or so, but you had a salt, pepper and even paprika for sure somewhere, if not, it was flyaendance fault as they forgot to deliver it to you. The red stuff was tomatto. On the up left you had some salad mixture wth cheese which cannot be bad, up there in mddle you had a fruit salad, and on up right a glass of orange juice. II cannot beleave an omelete with fresh breath and cheese was bad. really.

On the 3rd of Januray 2016 I had a great adventure with Air Serbia. Flight: Sofia - Belgrade - Copenhagen. The turboprop ATR-72 was not allowed to land in Belgrade for more than an hour due to heavy weather, snow and freezing temperatures. Note that the flight itself was supposed to last 41-45 minutes, so with 1 hour delay with engines on in Sofia and 1 hour more awaiting landing clearence in Belgrade I believe I got enough turboprop experience for a lifetime: ) My point is that the organization of Air Serbia was great with the subsequent accommodation (yes, I missed my flight to Copenhagen) and the next day there were out-of-schedule flights for the thousands of people who remained blocked in Belgrade.

Not the first time I've seen economy being better than business.
Two more examples:
1. Certain Amtrak trains like the Pennsylvanian have Amfleet II coaches that are better than the Amfleet I business class car.
2. VIA Rail Canada sometimes runs HEP1 transcontinental coaches on corridor trains to add capacity. While old, they are vastly more comfortable than the HEP2 and LRC business class cars.

The state of Bosnia appears disheartening, to the extent that even the Almighty himself may bid it goodnight. Perhaps it would be wise to consider partitioning the country, as there seems to be little benefit in attempting to keep together a state that is so dysfunctional. My recent visit to Bosnia left me eagerly anticipating my return to Greece.

I have never been on a flight where the adult meals were actually nice, even emirates I actually never eat meals on flights anymore if I am lucky enough for there to be a spare children's meal then I'll take it but its not fair cus I technically still am a child at17 and when I last when on a plane I was 13 and I was not eligible for a child meal

Great work as always, mate. My stepfather is Serbian and its always nice to see the country. Bosnia is a country that seems to have been frozen in time since the siege but youll find people there that work really hard and when a decent tourism market is finally matched with the resources it needs, youll find it can step up its game quickly.

How you know you are on Balkan: One counter sends you to the second and second to the third, only for the third to send you back to the first one and the guy behind the counter acting like he never had to deal with a paper like you brought him or he makes a face like you are making him do something illegal.

Sarajevo Airport is definitely more amazing for the pilots: due to mountains, landing are allowed only from runway 19 and takeoff only from runway 29. If youre an aviation geek, this is a detail which will allow you to appreciate this airport also for the location. As always a great flight report!

I am from ex yugoslavia, i can confirm most of balkan people act like this at the airports all the time, with their excedded luggage and taking all the place. I always try to speak english or german and have a passport cover. In your vlog you described it almost the same as i experienced it.

Yes I've been staying this. I'm 20 years old and live at home with three streams of income I'm working toward 2. 5k, I have a week left to withdrawals. determination is highly needed in trading because only a brave heart is determined to take the risky involved in making great profit

This was beautifully made, thank you for making an effort. I actually enjoy poor inflight meals, and always look forward to them. I think I'd actually be disappointed if they served me something outstanding cause for me it's just part of the flying package. Clouds and dry meals

A serious question about your filming - Do you ask Airport staff and everyone else for permission for filming permission? I was wondering if someone recognised him/herself in one of your videos and tried to sue you due to privacy breach?
love your flights btw

Hi, love watching your videos. We were in Sarajevo last week and stayed in the exact same room with balcony at hotel Aziza! Sarajevo was such a beautiful city - especially the old town part where the hotel is located! Keep up the great work!

Am I the only one that gets infuriated at selfish passengers that mess about putting the stuff in over head lockers whilst people wait patiently behind. Grrrrr, why can the sit and wait for people to pass then do it. Rant over!
reply

Air Serbia. May not be the best but I've seen a lot worse. I know there was a bit of communication breakdown at Sarajevo but then again, I've seen worse at Manchester! Great video though Noel.

Noel you just experienced why I dont use self check in
Classic old school hotel room to and as always great vlog
Not sure Id fly Air Serbia though

reply

I find amazing how some aircrafts change ownership from one company in one country and into another company in a country at the other side of the world.
reply

You should fly AirSerbia's 733, it's the oldest pax 733 still flying in Europe.
But it's mostly on charter and it's going of service for good soon.
