Onboard the World's SHORTEST Flight: 80 Seconds Long!
video description
Its got to be for novelty at this point. There is no way that you can argue with me that setting up a ferry system isnt a cheaper and more efficient way to do it.

First video of yours on YT I have watched and the only thing that struck me was, do people often ask what you are doing and get upset by your camera filming them? I don't think I would have the confidence to be so openly filming everything and talking to myself into a mic in front of people. Great video. Love to see some of the Scottish Highland Fleet of aircraft some day.

When I was a student pilot, and past solo flying, nearly all my spare weekends were devoted to practicing over the training area or doing touch & go circuits. Here, you could do that sort thing involving and using the triangle route you described, or back and forth over the short stretch. Much more fun than going round the same circuit.

Just caught up twith this video Noel. It was wonderfull to watch especially as I am afflicted with agorophobia and depression so don't get to leave my room very often, and then only for medical appointments. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share this experience, even if it caused me to shed a few evious tears.

Superb! Always wondered what these flights would be like and now I know. Amazing! Not often one gets to see out of the pilot's windscreen on a commercial flight either! I noticed, by the way, that you edited out the safety demonstration and the trolley service. Quite right too!

can you fly SFO to STS Sonoma County? the shortest commercial flight in America. there is a lovely air museum on site at the STS airport and the whole airport is Snoopy themed. You could even go back the other way via SMART train and ferry back to san francisco. it would be fun

Loved it, 2 full-flight reviews in one video! I hope one day we'll see this Islander aircraft in the full stunning Loganair, Scotland's Airline Tartan livery, with bright red engine cowlings and the Tartan-clad tail. That would be absolutely stunning!

Hi Noel, absolutely brilliant! Proper flying, those wee Islanders are great aircraft. I'm retiring in a few weeks so the Orkney Islands and flying on an Islander are on the to do list and maybe stay awhile. Nice on Noel.

Sure beats my shortest flight. I few on a 737 flight from San Jose to Oakland, that flight was about 15 minutes and got up to maybe 1000 ft. altitude and had partial flaps as he was flying very slowly.

Amazing! I wonder if there is also a ferry service. Someone could literally hold their breath for the entire time the flight was airborne.

Cant see how this plane is a flying land rover, no oil leaks and it never broke down! Most important parts on the plane, wheels and brakes

Not even nuts or dink for that outrages ticket price? Over 2 mins on the second flight? I hope you did not miss your connecting flight!

More expensive per mile than Emirates and they don't serve a meal or have in-flight entertainment! I don't think I would be interested.

What a rude name for a town, Finstown, we stayed there once! The Orknays are stunning for wildlife, ruins, fresh air and quiet!

Have you ever flown Tropic Air in the Belize area? This short flight reminds me of the ones I was on there.
