The World's Most BIZARRE Airline Seat! 15Hrs on Papua New Guineas Airline! Marcus: Ok Air Craft Mechanic stuff! Ask the pilot when the aircraft went through its last A check and how many items had to be replaced? There are A, B & C checks A checks are where they go through the Air Craft completely and look to see whats about to fail or fall off next time it flies and replace or repair it! Hydraulic pumps pistons, fuel pumps etc. if you hear them singing The older she gets the slower we go but there aint nothing wrong with the radio! Then say you forgot something and take the next flight! Pilot Mechanic jokes! First Pilot I got into an argument with he asked me if I fixed the landing lights every time I saw him finally I was so pissed I said yep I sure did! How long he asked is it going to fly? In a smart ass tone! I replied yep right up to the crash site, HE NEVER ASKED AGAIN! We Have aircraft flight books where pilots write things they they thought needed to be checked we do closely because the pages are duplicated and sent to command (Air Force) and when we repair those items those pages (copies with type repairs made are sent to command also) so we do follow up closely!

I see so many lounges where you either have to eat with a tiny plate on your lap or lean to the side to use a little side table. I wonder why those who don't have ample table room, don't just put flip up tray tables in the arm rest, similar to the seats on the plane. I've sat in really nice lounges where there are only a dozen seats around a normal table and you end up on a lounger, while trying to still eat like a human.

Im American but I grew up in Papua New Guinea, my parents were missionaries back in the 70s. I was there when air nugini started in 1973 when Papua New Guinea started their independence from Australia. Back then air nugini was DC-3s and Fokker Friendships (F-27 turboprop. To go international you flow an Ansett 707 or TAA 727. Never saw any Quantas planes back then.

oooohh Changi Airport! I 've always wanted to go there! I saw a documentary about Changi Airport online not too long ago and it's a beautiful but HUGE airport! Plus the staff there seem really nice, friendly and helpful! And that plane looks wonderful to stay in. I'd be relaxed as ever on that with that much leg room!

I flew to LA in Virgins premium cabin a few weeks ago. There were two ladies in the bulk head seats behind the toilets who took exception to there being lavatories in the premium cabin, claiming it was not very premium, and trying to get into upper. Imagine if she had have moved forward to find lavatories in upper too!

Wow, this is the first I ever heard that Air Niugini was from Papua New Guinea or in fact pronounced New Guinea. And from a passenger standpoint, the 767 is one of my favorite planes ever, with its 2-3-2 layout in economy, although if I was the pilot I would prefer the performance of its skinny brother the 757.

ive seen leg room but that is rediculous. gotta take a bus and a 737 just to reach the seatback pocket in front of you
def true about boarding via airstairs. absolutely the best way to get on a plane. Jetways take away all the awesome views. tho they are nice when its raining or snowing/cold

Me and my friend was considering Air Niugini from Brisbane connect in POM to Hong Kong. Absolutely good review, good to know the people are cool. Really got bored with Cathay, thank you so much for the review of them Im finding for and I am really interested to fly on this airline now.

Man, can we have those retro 70s and 80s style overhead bins again? Its one of the few things Ive missed from the past millennia in terms of commercial planes. The best example is definitely the one in the TriStar, where the absence of the middle bin made it like a huge cinema.

Noel, since you are now living in the US have you ever considered using your right hand to eat instead of knifing it with your right hand? Also, just curious. do you fly back to the UK for medical care since going to a hospital in the US is likely bankrupt you (even with insurance?

I don't know if they still do the route, but a few years ago I flew QANTAS from Port Moresby to Cairns in what I think was a little twin prop Dash 8 Q200 with the 2 x 1 seating. It was bizarre walking out onto the tarmac and on to a prop plane for an international flight.

Great video, bud. I whole heartedly agree with you, nothing wrong about flying well known commercial airlines, however, you already know in advance what to expect. Flying those smaller, less known, national airlines has got to be much more fun

The seats remind me of Delta International business class product from 2001/2002. I remember a flight from ATL to Duesseldorf and the angle of the seat kept causing my pants to slide up the crack of my ass, aka a wedgie.

Off on a tangent re: old planes, but I wish Id paid more attention when I flew to the US in 1990/91, would live to know which plane I was on. I flew with USAir from Gatwick to Charlotte if anyone has any idea?

My first trip too sea as an Engineer in 1975 took me to the pacific islands and PNG, were we visited Port Moresby, Wewak, Mandang, Kimbe, Rabaul. Strange place, never thought they would have their own Airline.

The Australian who ordered 'spirits' with his breakfast could be a severe alcoholic. At least he is having a meal and you don't want him to have a alcohol withdrawal seizure midnight

Stairs are my favourite more than say! the jet bridge, i love walking up the stairs and look at the engine to my right, and yeah! the 767 is awesome also i love the DC-10 too
reply

Noel, your narration does not match the content of this video, Mate. You end up loving every trip you have ever been on, so why all the hyperbolic negatively-tinged titles?
reply

It's hard to beat the B767 It's such a beautiful aircraft and a wonderful workhorse for many airlines in its day
I've always liked stairs but they are getting hard to find
