There must be something better. That's what she said! ROTFLMAO! That is so funny, Noel! I laughed my head off!
Re: The LATAM flight- Noel, that was not mildly rude. That was EXTREMELY rude! That man had no right to hog up business/premium economy bins. Those bins are for business only. That bloke paid for economy. He has to take his chances like everyone else. That never would have flown here in America. The flight attendants keep an eagle eye out for things like that.
I think that LATAM flight was a waste of $500. You'd get way better service on Delta, in first class, cross-country, for that amount. No soggy sandwich! BTW, did you know LATAM used to be two different airlines You had LAN Chile, and TAM Brasil. Close to ten years ago, they merged to become LATAM.
I was kinda scared for you when you were on that Bees flight. Looked like the plane was falling apart around you. Thanks, but no.
Tell Rachel Happy Mother's Day! I hope you'll have her on an episode soon. I really like her. I love the dry English humour. I have a sarcastic sense of humour. We would really get along.

My only bizjet experience was nearly 40 years ago when my coworkers and I in Elkhart, IN had to visit a vendor near Pittsburgh where our corporation was headquartered on a day when a C-level had to make the trip, too. Almost new Lear 35A and I had a rear-facing seat on the outbound leg. That perspective on takeoff was pretty amazing. That direct route is only 271 km, so I think we were in the air only 25 minutes. Forward facing seat on the flight back right into thunderstorms and an approach into near minimums, which was pretty cool to watch out the front. I lived 7. 5 miles from the corporate hangar, and it took longer to get home in the rain in my car than wheels up in PIT to wheels down in EKM.

Regarding people who put bags in Business then walk to the back to sit. I read a story many years ago (before the Li-ion battery restrictions) on Flyer talk.
Two teenagers pulled that trick on to a flight. The story teller had absolutely no chill. Later during boarding the overheads were absolutely packed. The FA announced that the overhead bins were full and would anyone be willing to check their carry-on for free. Business class guy says, Right Here! and gave the teens bags to the FA. He then threw away the checked bag receipts.
Do I think it is rude to put bags in the overhead nowhere near your seat Yes. Did they deserve that response Absolutely not.

Of course business class flight costs can be all over the map. We're flying Air France next week in the front from YOW to CDG in the 350 and then onwards to Nice (European business class) for about $3600 CDN return each BUT I booked the tickets about 10 months ago and I think they are only partially refundable. I tried to book another journey for this August, but much shorter advance booking, and the price is more about $5000 US ($7000 CDN) return just YOW to CDG. For that trip, premium economy will have to do.

Latam is like ITA Airways! My business class vegetarian meal on a two hour flight with ITA was a soggy zucchini sandwich with mold. Economy got a better quality meal! Economy got cucumber sandwiches from Amsterdam to Rome. When I asked for a vodka and club I was told there's only beer and wine, the same as the complimentary beer and wine in economy. I showed ITA Airways that I could have gotten the same seat in economy for half the price, and I ended up getting compensated.

Hi Noel. I really like and admire your work and videos. They are great and really entertaining. But this last one dissapointed me a lot. How it's possible that you spend 50 K on a 40 min experience Wouldn't be better if you gave all these money to some charity organization or those in need. I'm speechless and dissapointed Noel. Take care and hope that in the the future, your videos can be enriched in terms of human values.

Private jet flight experience: transitioning husband in agony with ruptured spinal disk from Grenada to Miami, as unfortunately Grenada didn’t have the necessary scanning facilities. He was sedated and on a drip. I got to fly above an electrical storm. It would have been really interesting, if I hadn’t been worried sick. On landing, the transit ambulance driver advised me not to go outside of the hospital

One of my clients regularly used private jets. They'd figured out that it was more cost effective when taking a team somewhere to fly private, because it not only let them be sure everybody made the flight and prep in the air, it let them save hotel cost. They could do a full day, leaving around 7, getting to a meeting around 10, and flying back the same day without having to cover a dozen hotel rooms.

As someone noted below LATAM does not offer a real business class on their narrow bodies within South America. I have flown their PE 3 times by now and its quite decent compared to regular economy. I mainly enjoy the extra space and preferred boarding. The food is just Ok but better than nothing. In the interest of full disclosure i have their co branded credit card so i usually burn miles

The comment about the Bees airline desk lady at the beginning feels a bit out of place. I like your humour usually but she just looked like a normal airline worker. Felt a bit unwarranted.
Also you can absolutely get better flights than the Bees airline one for 50 pounds. AirBaltic fly cheap routes from the UK to their base airports, so do a lot of other flag carriers in Europe.

Totally agree on your assessment of bin stealers i fly often in business and upon getting to my (still empty)seat row, the above bin is full. Obviously someone in the back dropped it off. Usually i travel light so dont make a fuss, but if i had to store mine, i would probably asker the pursuer to find the owner and take it back, ot need be under their seat or have it checked in

I have - and I wish I knew which aircraft it was - Boeing business jet I worked in IT for an aviation company and I was lucky enough to win the company lottery where I was flown down from Bankstown Airport to Avalon Airport to attend the airshow (Australia here obviously. I think there were 7 or 8 of us on a 14 seater plane. It was amazing! 15 years ago

Having flown LATAM in proper business between LAX and SCL. it's a great soft product but the hard product is a bit long in the tooth. The Euro Business/Premium Economy can be a pretty good deal, I think we paid about $45 extra between SCL and PUQ.
You missed out on the SCL lounge though. That one is my favorite in all the Americas.

I’ve done a transatlantic flight on a G4, and it was nice not messing around with airport terminals and customs, but I felt the configuration of the one I was on, with about 8 people aboard, was a bit claustrophobic. Plus we were all media flying with the CEO of a multinational company, which dampened the entertainment level a bit.

Interesting parameters. Multiply by 10 each flight. I've sorta done the first three. Would I drop $50k on a private jet flight Depends on how much it makes me and who I get to bring. 16 passengers. that's a lot of freeloaders. haha. Pretty cool ending Noel. even if it did land at Love Field. LOL
reply

I dont mind the bin stealers. Its likely packed in the back - i was revently on a BA flight that was delayed because they couldnt find enough room for everyone's carry ons.
Business/first normally has much more room because there are less passengers. Just logical imo.

How did you get from Europe to South America, and back, how much did that cost, so each consecutive flight wasn't 10x the previous one. And the last flight was potentially 50 grand, that's like me saying my next date would cost 10 grand, if it was Jennifer Aniston.

Talking of Bee airlines. Busy Bee was an sister and feeder airline of Braathens SAFE, that almost on the day they went defunct was more or less reborn and replaced under new ownership, but with the same key people and routes under the name Norwegian Air Shuttle.

I flew a New Pacific 757-200 VIP (nhl team charter) this year and got crazy spoiled. All first class, tables for poker games in the middle, 3 separate cabins for privacy. I could get used to isolated airports and cushy buses waiting to pick you up when you land: )
