Objective
Pffft. That is just pea sized hail. In Tornado Alley, one of the worst storms I lived through. my parents took us into the big city, and a storm hit before we drove home. The county had to get the SNOW PLOWS OUT TO REMOVE THREE INCHES OF HAIL OFF THE ROADS. It looked like snow drifts, but is was June. Small hail for Tornado Alley is the size of an American Quarter. just smaller than your 2P. Hail that big will break your toe bones. In the worst of the worst storms, we get hail stones the size of a cricket ball. Destroys automotive glass and puts dents in the car that don't come out. or punches through the roof. THAT size hail will kill livestock. Not trying to brag, just letting you know that you have very gentle hail and what a blessing that is.
That was a lovely 2 days in the cool crisp Engilsh country side. Thank you for bringing us along.

The weather in May is often lovely, and June is often cold and wet. I remember once putting dozens of vegetable seeds in pots indoors. Some of them grew huge, but the advice in the gardening books said Don't plant out until the end of May, when all chance of frost has passed. I put everything outside on a beautiful sunny evening on May 31st. I was woken in the night by thunder and lightning, and when I went outside, all my plants were destroyed by wind, rain and hail. June (including the last few days of May) is a treacherous month. It pretends to be summer, but it's not.

Ever since I mentioned that I d have liked the Hunter s Tower Shelter as a retreat for myself to go to for relaxing away from my studying of a subject, I realised I could use the actual full build video of it as a sort of woodland ambience video on a loop sort of thing whilst reading. It is fantastically calming giving me focus, not found a better asmr bushcraft video related to my interest in it as such a method to help study. I ve lost count how many times I ve watched it, but very pleased to see this new build too

I cant tell you how proud and happy I feel, that you're out in the woods with your father - Great fun and Dad sure loves getting out. - unfortunately, my father passed when I was 17 yo in 1987. My father (as I see him, in your fathers eyes) would relish the fun and challenge and adventure of braving the woods, the hail and the rain - for the pleasure of good food, fun and lively stories (real or otherwise. - I'm proud to see both of you, enjoying your self!

I reckon I got caught in the tag end of that hail, halfway between my step-dad's front door and my car. Not 5 seconds either way, oh no. No thunder and the hail didn't last long at all but if it was part of the same storm that'd be unsurprising since it would have had to make it from yours all the way up to northern Derbyshire. Tell your dad he did seem to pass on the perfect opportunity for a Gene Kelly number; )

Ok! Kiddos, I would be in the blind shack for safety. Does the Southern UK ever get our size hailstones Softball 9. 7cm sized? Last year was a roof replacing event times two. One was in the spring then there was one in the fall. We had to wait till mid-March 2022, for a window. Just wee nickel-sized stones ah!

Love all the work you have done in your woodland and have found it very interesting as I hope to buy my own soon. But I'm pleased to see you get back to your roots with the bushcraft camp build, keep up the good work Mike, nice to see your dad helping.

Ok I'm going to ask why did you make yourselfers so much work by cutting the planks in half surely it would have been easier to lay the planks length ways in the kitchen. I can see a nice larg wood bowl used as a sink to wash any food you have forged
