Aren't you worried about some uhmm. 'undesirable people' finding your tent & gear in between when you aren't there Back in the mid '80s, right after getting married, my wife and I set up a camp in the forest on property owned by my parents (200 acres) and had no problem with theft or vandals until one day, we went to spend the week end there, only to discover that our tent had been destroyed and most of the gear inside stolen, and replaced with a large number of beer cans. We never did find out who was responsible, but it was the last time we left our expensive gear set up when we would be gone more than a day or 2.
I totally agree with your views on the hounds and fox hunting. To me, that is unethical and barberic, it's intentionally allowing the dogs to pursue and kill the foxes. Not a sport. Keep safe.

Why not protect the livestock against the foxes, rather than barbarically kill them.
Where I live we have Badgers, Foxes, Genets, and Lynx.
We don't need to kill these creatures to keep our chickens safe.
What we do is make sure our chicken runs and houses are built securely enough to keep the predators out.
Fox hunting with hound packs is antiquated and cruel and as far as I am concerned a sport reserved for those that are so far up their own. that their gene pool hasn't changed for centuries, if you catch my drift.

I don't like fox hunting either but foxes are gits! When my little staffie passed away, we buried her in the garden. The following day her poor little body had been dug up by a fox. We re-buried her deeper, again she was dug up. The final time we buried her we put a couple of paving slabs on top and the fox still dug her up and got away with her corpse. It was heartbreaking. They are a complete menace. They will attack a whole brood of chickens and kill them all, only to make off with just one hen. Humane hunting I agree with.

Great vid Mike! For the stove jack cover, you can use a bulldog clip, or just get some sticky back velcro squares and attach them, or just sew them on yourself, and of course seam seal it afterward. Nice tent, and I like the stove. Curious if you know whether or not you can get a log stand to fit inside it to give the wood a bit more air circulation Don't know that it's necessary, but have wondered that ever since seeing someone else who had a wood stove that had a small one inside. Cheers!

Great vid Mike, I think it would be responsible though at the start of the you tube hot tent season that you guys talk about the dangers associated with carbon monoxide, we’ve all seen the feather stick a million times how about just repeating that it’s a good idea to carry a monoxide alarm and talk about ventilation. You guys know what your doing from years of experience the have a go hero or beginner might not be so clued up. Cheers bud and jacks is awesome

23: 45 reminds me of our Spud, a long haired Jack, when all three of us were living at home he would spend the night bed hopping, you'd hear him jump down on the floor boards, then he'd take a couple of bounces (practice jumps ) then on the bed and under the duvet it was great when it was really cold but would over heat us when it was warmer, he'd tunnel to the bottom and cook our feet until he got too hot then go and find a cooler bed to warmer up

I bought this tent earlier this year for this Winter’s camping season, and got the Winnerwell small stove (small one) to dress it out. Absolutely love this tent and the stove is top notch. Winnerwell is the king of stoves as far as I’m concerned. My grown sons can fight over it when God calls me home. Hahahaha. What a great video, Mike, and I love seeing Jaxx in for the adventure. Take care and stay well and safe. : )

I’ve burned wood for years and you never close the damper down so much that the stove starts puking smoke out the air intake. All you will do is kill your fire.
If you slightly close the damper it will hold heat in the firebox for longer thus putting more heat in the tent and less going straight up the flue.
When I say that I have burned wood for 50 years I mean that is how I have heated my home.

Mike dont leave the pipe in. you will be left with a serious puddle of water inside. trust me i speake from making that very mistake. You will be amazed how much rain will trickle down over a few days and the added risk of a windy day that may bend and breake the pipe or even dammage the tent, best for the sake of a few miniuts to take it down and leave it inside the tent already rolled even if you like. All the best.

And! What a horrible tradition. I get the hunting for foxes, but to starve dogs to become more aggressive so they will shred the fox to pieces just to get some food for the dogs and entertainment for the adults, is as you said (barbaric) on the borderland to animal cruelty both for the dogs and the foxes. I know we all have some weird traditions from old times, but can we not call it history and go on

Seen this lad feeding dog food that’s got onion cooked with before
Why do people do this
Its toxic as fook man to dogs that is
Cmon lad
Make him his own wee safe meal or only give him the kibble please
I’m a vet tech
So many people poison their own animals thinking their being nice by giving them a treat

I would look into an accessory to secure the stovepipe (I have seen some that attach to the top of the pipe with lines and maybe add a spark arrestor to the pipe. It might be an idea to remove the stovepipe and close the flap when you are away for multiple days.
I did enjoy this camping video. Thank you

Just a heads up incase you didn't know. Even though you gave Jacks the beef separate, because it was cooked with the onions it may cause stomach upset, vomiting or he could get the runns. And other stomach problems. Because onions are toxic too dogs, so is garlic, & any of the onion family.

Hot tenting has been on my bucket list for some time now, but the burden of chemo or radiation always seems to muck up my plans. In fact, I am currently on day forty eight of another chemo cycle, but am ready to get out with my One Tigris hot tent; once the last of the medication has been taken.

Thank you for all your videos. I would like your opinion on hammock hot tents. I live in Vernon British Columbia Canada and it is late fall. I don't want to put my hammock away yet. I was thinking about investing in a hammock tent. Your thoughts on the idea. Thank you. Ed Toma. Vernon BC Canada.

Thanks for the video, with regards to your woodland, do you have a hedge boundary or a fence running around it to mark out property.
I know when I've camped out in remote woodland I've had the issue of dogwalkers with there dogs off the lead or idiot's on motorbikes to deal with.

I bought this tent after seeing you camp in it the first time. I have taken it camping and the first time I went it rained heavily and the wind was very strong. It did very well. No leaks etc. I have taken it out two more time since then and it did very well.

I wish I was in my 30s again instead of my 60s. I would become a proper Hobo. I do live on a narrowboat, so I do have a certain amount of freedom. I would love to spend more time in the Woods though. These videos are the next best thing. Keep em coming.
