FLORIDA KEYS: Giant Lobster, Aggressive Pelicans & Deer That Swim - The OVERSEAS HIGHWAY! OMG, Don’t ever try to hand feed Tarpon! I actually have a picture of a drunk man in Grand Cayman hand feeding them that has his hand almost to the elbow. His arm is in the fish mouth in my picture. They don’t have teeth, but they have plates and they scrape and can cut you really well as the drunk found out who said, he didn’t bite me, as blood is running down his arm!
They aren’t usually eaten as their diet is garbage. They will eat anything dead they don’t have to work for and hang out near restaurants where they throw their scraps and garbage in the ocean for them to eat!
Without food they are very docile and actually fun to snorkel with which I have done.

No disrespect AT ALL. but wifey is buzzed and im f-ing loving it! haha thats the Florida effect! Stay for vacation, never to settle! You guys gotta go through central Florida, Polk county and you gotta hit Babson park and DEFINTELY Frostproof! and for contrast, go to Celebration and/or Lake Mary. Orlando suburbs go have an ice cream and speak to the Floridians thats been there for awhile!

Poisonwood, Florida poisontree, or hog gum, is a species of flowering tree in the cashew or sumac family, Anacardiaceae, that is native to the American Neotropics. It produces the irritant urushiol much like its close relatives poison sumac and poison oak. It is related to black poisonwood (Metopium brownei.

: ) THANKS MUCH for another GREAT share and video! I think the cool house in Marathon was a Geodesic home They are probably stronger in high winds / hurricanes because of their shape and efficient in design and space. Love the Turtle Mailbox! ALL the BEST and safe travels! Cheers: )

That squirrel has to deal with every storm that blows. Not really able to simply drive north out of the way of a tropical storm now is he. Not such a great life during storms. LOLOL

Strange adventure. Loved the tourist traps along the way. Were those souvenirs made in China The Tarpan episode had me laughing my ass off! Your Wifee handled the pelicans like a champ.

By the way, I think the third deer that you guys caught during your drive down that was next to the edge of the road. I think it was giving birth. There is a leg sticking out of her.

Many upscale young folks of Cuban descent from Miami area live in the key largo work in Miami and live in Key largo area. Some are knowledge workers, who work from home.

Tarpons are wonderful sport fishing becuase they so lively. Jump out the water and fight crazy. They not really good for eating afaik. They very oily and boney.

I have always wanted to drive all the way down to Key west. I'm so jealous thank you for doing this so I can experience it since I may never get to do it.
reply

Thank you for the video. The Henry Flagler museum, the Atocha Treasure museum, and the Southern White House are interesting places to visit in Key West.

They finally put up like a 15 ft fence at Busch Gardens alligator spot. If you heard about the who walked in to get a selfie picture recently.

If never driven this route but I've flown from St Pete CLRWTR airport. Florida looks like the Philippines from the air with broken island chains.

Geodescent dome construction. the 'awesome' house by the little bridge, fyi. Great against strong winds, i. e. hurricanes & tornadoes.

I live there in public housing, a long waiting list but rent based on how much or how little you work. which is nice.

I'm sure other people have commented this- but they're NOT walrus mailboxes- they are Florida's animal- the Manatee!
reply

I am not afraid of this person but realistic no large block living there so the crime is low and go figure
reply

The people that work there live in small places and the expensive houses skew the average house price up.

That incompleted highway off to the side - I forget which 1990s action movie but they filmed a scene on it.
reply

Uhh this looks so nice, just heart about the keys, but have never seen something about it. Thanks Joey
