I studied 'abroad' (if you can really call it that in my case, being from the US, lol) in Vancouver, Canada for this past year (my first year at uni. Although I absolutely loved it (the nature here is simply breathtaking, I also have begun to realise that it's just not the optimal place for someone from the US to go; the total cost, while indeed cheaper than many US universities (which speaks to their sheer obscenity price-wise, isn't all that much cheaper for international students and the culture is all too similar, which means that, aside from the sensible healthcare, Usonians will be way too comfortable here. And that's why I've decided that I'm transferring to a university in Austria starting next term. Austrian universities are tuition-free for all, and the country, apart from being gorgeous, is centrally located for plenty of European adventures, plus it will force me to actually start learning (and using) a language I've always intended to learn. The fact that I've got relatives there helps too. Needless to say, October could not possibly come any sooner

Omg Im so excited that you put this video up. I really want to study abroad and my first trip got canceled. So, sadly, I could not go. I plan to study abroad my last semester as a student teacher and there are not a lot of Early Childhood Education study abroad opportunities that i can even find. So I will probably have to make my own program. I will try to go to Spanish speaking country like Ecuador and I am practicing my Spanish now. I am also an African American girl trying to study abroad (Props for being a minority. I love your videos and I just found them but I have already watched so many. Keep traveling and being AWESOME

I am studying abroad in Cambodia and Vietnam next spring, and I am beyond excited I am definitely fortunate to go to the University of San Diego, which has one of the highest rates of study abroad, but like you guys said most of my friends are going to places like the UK, Ireland, Spain, and Italy, and while I do really want to travel to Europe some day, I think having the opportunity to visit Asia is going to be so unique and incredible. I can't wait to study the environment and learn about the culture there. Thanks for all the great tips and motivation

Why would you study in the US in the first place? Besides from local knowledge such as law degrees it does not make much sense paying fees and tuition if you could avoid it. I suspect the language barrier is a point here, because many people do not know that you can study in some European countries in English, such as Germany or Sweden. Even better, US companies do not know anything about specific universities in Europe. So that is a plus if you would otherwise just be able to pay for some of the least expensive ones in the US.

Thank you so much for making this video, it helped me a lot and I found a few websites which I can use to help me continue researching and figuring out how this all works. I have always wanted to travel and study/work abroad but I always thought it was super expensive etc. This video really helped clarify that it can be done rather easily and that it can be even cheaper going to university in Europe than it is here in Canada

Thank you so much I've been flirting with studying abroad for the last year and a half and have become increasingly attracted to the idea, and this video came, to me personally, at a perfect time. I live in Russia and I'm most likely going to study in Canada, after you guys pretty much addressed all of my concerns, all I have to do now is pick a University and look into applying. Again, thanks guys

I'm from Australia and I studied abroad in Swansea Wales last year for a semester. Best thing I've ever done in my life so far, lived with fellow exchange people from France, USA and another Aussie. Travelling around the UK and Europe, best experience as it taught me more about myself, new cultures, history and to be independent.

Studying abroad is one of the most undervalued opportunities that comes with going to college or university. I did two study abroad programs while I was in school, one was a three-week trip to the Balkan region, and then I spent a semester in Australia later on. Those trips were the highlights of my undergraduate experience.

This video is exactly what I needed to hear I'm leaving in two weeks to study abroad in Brazil for a semester and I'm planning on studying abroad in China for a month next summer. Everything you guys talked about is motivating me that I'm making the right choice in going abroad, even though it's out of my comfort zone
