You know. I live in Saskatoon and like it, if I live here for the rest of my life I'd be happy. I have to say this video is not very realistic. We are NOT known for our fabulous restaurants. I have never heard that before. Nor have I ever heard about the shoe maker, which I noticed you didn't think was worth buying from. So there is a place that prints on Chinese made T shirts. So what. The fact that you enjoyed an imported American band that played one show left and won't be back is not that interesting. There are some interesting things about a Saskatoon though, one example is in the Western Development Museum (in which you filmed the scene about prohibition) the actual machine sits that was the worlds first, that's right first, Cancer radiation machine (the kind that has saved an unmeasurable amount of lives) invented and built in Saskatoon. thats WAY more interesting and important that anything you mentioned and you were literally 50 feet away from it.

YXE has an exceptional number of restaurants -- in fact, so many that local people's paper Planet S, which holds an annual Best Of contest to honour various businesses around town, eventually had to give Food & Drink its own completely separate competition. It holds this at the polar opposite time of year, so that residents who take part in the voting process won't come to feel burned-out. That said, despite the high number of business in this category, it is true that most were until recently fairly run-of-the-mill. It wasn't a destination place for anyone who appreciates Fine Dining, you might say, and was more suitable to the average office population or people who favour fast food. Very thankfully options with a higher degree of health to their menu, or which are more artful in their design have been cropping up. Ayden's was definitely a wise place to visit. As far as top chefs in Canada goes, Dale Mackay is a rock star.

Awesome video guys I've never considered putting Saskatoon on my travel list, but looks like I should. Two questions for you. 1. Do you contact the owners of the restaurants/micro-distilleries beforehand and ask to do interviews, or is that just spur-of-the-moment stuff? Those interviews really add value to your production and make it seem less like a vlog and more like a travel show. 2. As far as copyright rules go, how can you monetize the video and include clips from the Roots playing live? (I'm not trying to call you out, I just never understand where the line is drawn on what I can and can't include in my videos)

The riverscape is beautiful because it was never industrialized like so many other Canadian cities. The vibrant software and technology startups are underrated despite contributing to the smartphone technology that we all use every day. The best restaurants are definitely here; foodies will be happy. The Jazz Festival is one of many that will keep you busy all year if you want to be.

Its called Paris of the Prairies because of the number of bridges. Before these hipster establishments, Saskatoon was known for its high number of Greek restaurants. You know, the kind that gives you soup and salad with your meal? The kinds of places where the manager would regularly touch female serving staff and where kids would get crayons when they were seated.

The City is indeed growing and gradually becoming more diverse, however, it is also one of the most racist and closed-minded places in Canada. Migrants are rendered invisible and are treated poorly. I was walking with a friend in the downtown core and she was called the N'' word repeatedly by locals. This was very upsetting and disappointing.

hell no i live here. to call this city is the Paris of prairie is nonsense. really nothing alike. this city is quiet suitable for those who doesn't like noisy big ass city. but interm of hangout or things to do for the youngs? well it's kinda sad cuz there are not much compare to bigger city. however this is a small city after all cant ask for more.

My son married a gal from Saskatoon. It is a beautiful city full of wonderful people. We ate at a great diner (can't remember the name-city diner) and I had poutine. yumm The farmers market is nice, lots of local goods and they are excellent try Saskatoon berries. similar in looks to blueberry and tastes like a mix of blueberry and strawberry.

Thank you for mentioning Adam Finn's cobbling business. That's fantastic that this exists here -- I didn't know about it Why search all over for footwear that may not ever fit properly and was mass-produced, when instead one could purchase shoes specifically made for the wearer, and which are made in excellence? Take my money
