Special Announcement! 0Z: Sweet. When are you going to hike the PCT? If you need a crazy naval Canuck to keep your spirits up, let me know as i am planning to hike the triple crown starting in 2018 after I retire from the Canadian Military after 35 years of service. I am thinking of watching your AT hiking videos as you we always either making me smile or laughing out laugh to my poor wife who thinks I am crazy to hike. Anyway I hope you have had time to watch my YouTube videos. I now have 4 days uploaded now from the IAT for the New Brunswick province. Gives you Americans a picture what the trail looks like after Maine. Next summer is the 30 IAT hike of Quebec and 5 day hike for Prince Edward Island. Then in 2018, I start my triple crown Quest.
Again you seem to be a nice real person and who knows, we might meet on the trails during the next 12 years. Natter that, it is old age security for me lol
Happy trails 2016 eh.
Adrian.

It's 2020, and I find myself binge watching all of Dixie's adventures/videos from the beginning all the way thru (ha ha, see what I did there) Anyway, right now on Amazon there is a series called 'Nick Went Hiking'. During Season 2, Nick is hiking the PCT, and guess who makes a cameo in a couple of episodes? That's right, it's Dixie! Fist time I saw her, I was like That looks like Dixie. and as soon as she started talking, I was like That's Dixie! lol. Thought that was pretty awesome. She deserves her own Amazon series in my opinion. By the way, if you watch 'Nick Went Hiking', Season 1 is pretty boring and kind of hard to get through, but Season 2 where he is hiking the PCT is pretty enjoyable to watch.

I just discovered you over the weekend while looking at gear videos. Downloaded and read the book last night. It's a quick read but is full of great information. The AT runs through the northwest corner of my town right where you cross from NJ into NY. We have taken our scout troop on 1 and 2 night backpacking trips. You have inspired me to take them on a 5 or 6 day next summer. We are also going to look at maybe doing some trail magic next June or July in the Wawayanda State park area. Keep it up you are an inspiration to many!

Awesome interview on TSP! I had put in for a week's vacation to do a section of the AT like a day sooner than I realized there was a TSP episode on the very subject!
This is a solo trip, and my question is, would you recommend taking any self-discovery books to read, or should I just be alone with my own thoughts?
Thanks for you time!
(subbed, and catching up on your older videos.

Just wanted you to know how much I've enjoyed watching all of your videos. I'm not even a hiker but I thoroughly enjoy the outdoors and everything to do with it. I've camped and fished in a lot of the US and Canada when I was a kid with the family. You do an excellent job on camera (the camera likes you, not so much me! Lol) keep up the good work!

Oh Dixie (Jessica! I got your book and am really enjoying it. It's practical, rational and engaging. I've watched all of your AT videos. You give me hope that my dream is possible. I wish you all the best as you plan your future adventures.

Love your videos. Just bought the ebook. Looking forward to figuring out how a 45 yr old, father of 4, business owner can make the AT happen. Probably gonna have to do sections. Already done most of GA, TN and NC. Keep up the good work. Thank you.

Got the book! I'm especially interested in the financial part! But I get the feeling that even if my finances don't add up, I'll still try and hike anyway, and the heck with everything! hahaha. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Hi Dixie from Ms. I've watched all of your AT hike and found it not only informative, but very entertaining. Hanging with Dixie is always a hoot. :) Best of luck on the PCT hike.
