Woah Hyundai hit it straight out of the park. Really really impressed. Subaru should learn a thing or two from Hyundai. Just because you want to make a consumer friendly SUV, doesnt mean it has to be a boring uninspiring design. I am looking at you Ascent. From where I can see, Hyundai leaps straight to the top of the midsize family SUV segment from the my too option. Honda doesnt seem to be bringing any new Pilot till 2021. So it all boils down to Toyota what they are going to do with Highlander for 2020 and Kias Telluride. But for now, Hyundai it is for me sir.

The name, Palisade, is a curious choice. Kia, Hyundais sister company, is building a new headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, just across the Hudson River from New York City. That area of New Jersey is known as the Palisades, yet Hyundai, not Kia, took the name for one of their new models. As an aside, the Kia headquarters has been hugely controversial as it was original designed as a tall structure which would extend above the tree line and ruin the view of the wooded Palisades. After years of wrangling, Kia relented and its now a low-rise(ish) building.

Wow this palisade looks pretty damn nice The headlights on the bumper look a bit weird to me but not a deal breaker. I was actually going to go for the last production 2020 Ford flex but I do own a discontinued car and parts are extremely difficult to find for it now. So maybe Ill consider this one instead. I do own a 2012 Hyundai Genesis sedan 3. 8 and havent had any issues with it with 82k miles on the odometer.

Is unbelievable how people still cant accept that Hyundai/Kia are going strong everyday, and they are not attracting people with good value, but with quality features and well made cars, bad Kia/Hyundai days are long gone, today you buy this cars not because is a good value, you buy them because you want to. This guys are coming with new models and others are canceling models. World is changing.

I think its pretty ugly overall. The front is just horrid. The back 3/4 is reminiscent of the also ugly GMC Envoy XUV, and the back is reminiscent of the Mini Clubman. Its odd that they missed the mark so much, because I like the new Santa Fes design. The interior looks good, and also very practical. They also needed a bit more room over the outgoing Santa Fe XL, so thats welcome as well.

Hyundai is hitting a lot of home runs these days. Not only are their vehicles stylish and attractive, but they also have good build quality now and surprisingly good reliability. Id buy Hyundai/Kia over anything from GM, Chrysler, Ford. They dont even compete anymore. They are todays junky cars on the market. Side note: Todays quilted leather is the 90s rushed leather. Looks great

Alex, great review. Please tell Hyundai to offer 8 passenger seating on their highest trim level, which Subaru has failed to do on the Ascent. Considering the price point most customers want the option for 8 seats versus being forced to get captains chairs. Lastly, why arent they offering WiFi hotspot in the Palisade? Seems like an obvious miss in the family SUV catagory.

Im really interested in this and the Telluride, I was hoping for Atlas or Explorer size but this will work for me. I really like the level of technology and interior refinement Hyundai is bringing lately. In your estimation what do you think this will top out at? The New Sante Fe in Ultimate trim is about 38k would you say 48k for a loaded Palisade?

Love it. Absolutely love it. Subaru should really something from both Kia and Hyundai. Its targeting almost the exact same buyer as Ascents, but look at the overall looks and styling. Just because you are selling a mainstream vehicle does not mean it cant be any good looking or eye pleasing

Luv it, luv it, luv it. Nothing to comment. Pure beauty. Outstanding design, and thanks to German guy, ex chief designer in Audi, Mr. Peter Schreyer. This outcome happen when you stop following leaders. You just take gloves off, and show your guts. Bravo, bravo, fantastic.
