I grew up in Korea and Sonata was THE people's car at that time. My dad also drove one which was the first generation with boxy design. Just like many of you have fond memory of riding parent's wagon going to school and soccer practice, Koreans have special memory with Sonata. This is the car which we grew up with. Now I am looking at 8th generation Sonata with Hybrid and Solar charging roof exported to America. I am seriously considering Sonata as my next ride because it actually looks very nice and mileage is top of the line.

I've been driving a used Prius for a couple years because I'm a cheep bastard and I can't imagine not getting 45mpg anymore. When I have to use my truck it seems like waisted money and I can't wait to get back in my Prius. I end up piling my Prius full of all kinds of stuff. I definitely see me going with a hybrid again I don't see why anyone would go with a regular gas model of the same car. My Prius is 10 years old and my only problem is it won't break so I can get something else. Good problem to have.

That Subaru booth was at the LA Auto show, was the best booth around since it has a massive screen showing Nat Geo footage while blasting America the beautiful. Sonata Hybrid looks nice, but 192 HP for a car of that size seems a little underpowered.

seen a few of the new sonatas on the road. they look nice, that solar roof is also suppose to charge the batteries when parked so that might be nice if you run accessories a bit or drive mostly in the dark.

This is the car Ive been waiting for, and the one Im likely going to get. Feature packed, stylish, great MPG, and (likely) affordably priced.

If this new Sonata Hybrid can get at all close to its claimed efficiency numbers, and do it with stepped gears, then that is simply incredible.
