Being the 1% that actually cares about functional AWD, I'm the type of customer that slots between the RX and GX. The GX offers much of the capability I like but sacrifices too much and the RX doesn't offer enough in terms of capability but has some qualities that the GX lacks. I need a crossover between the two which Lexus doesn't and hasn't catered to. I would never expect them to cater to people like me too and there's nothing wrong with that. There's just not enough of us to financially justify a model such as that. Even still, I always look forward to more news about the NX and RX because competition among manufacturers gives the rest of us a chance of seeing something we yearn for. I'm glad the Sienna is living on. It wouldn't be my first choice since I'm not their target audience but I've always liked how practical it has been with AWD. The recent generations of the boxy styling and practicality of minivans is more to my taste than swoopy, coupe-like CUV's. It's the ground clearance that bothers me at the end of the day though.

Current Sienna has been around since 2011 model year. Hopefully they drop the archaic and cheap rear beam suspension. 2023 until the next RX and NX? Current NX is on the same platform as the 2006 RAV4 and the current RX is on the same platform as the 2001 Highlander. RX will be on the same platform that's been around for OVER TWO decades. 2020 Highlander is finally on the new platform. What a JOKE. Lexus buyers are dumb.

Sounds like a bunch of good newsThe Lexus GS never caught on in America, dating back to the 1993 modelThe Land Cruiser needs to go fight the Wrangler and the new Bronco for around 50kThe Venza was ahead of its time, and a good idea to bring it backToyota does need a crossover under the Rav4And the Sienna going AWD Hybrid only is a great idea. So it will offer class leading traction and MPG

I'm actually very surprised the NX is not being redesigned by the end of this year. It is a substandard vehicle compared to all other luxury entries of its class, and I think Toyota Lexus is banking on their customers continually being very uninformed, automotivly (yes I create words, and relying solely on brand cache and reliability history for the next two and a half years

Kind of sad that the RX wont get a redesign until 2023. Surprisingly long wait for the next redesign compared to the last 2 generations where it was 6 years apart with a refresh every 3 years. Lets hope the redesign will address the short comings of the RX L as a midsize size three row suv when there is no leg room or head room

Thanks Alex, great info. What do you think about Toyota not planning to go the full electric route? It kinda feels suicidal to me, especially given that the hydrogen refilling network is also not something that they are not aggressively building on.

Im looking forward to the Sienna Hybrid (and hopefully Prime. Honda better be scrambling to play catch-up. They need to quickly proliferate their hybrid technology throughout the lineup, or Toyota will eat their lunch in even more segments.

I really hope Toyota brings out a TRD or GR Corolla Hatchback to the US. The current HB is nice, but a turbo charged model would be a welcomed addition. Preferably something that could at least compete with the VW Golf GTI.

Thats too bad we have to wait 4 years to get a new Tacoma. Hopefully they fix the transmission issues before then. Only thing preventing me from pulling the trigger after my lease is up.
