Eric I've got to say that I really enjoy watching you work on these automobiles. You remind me of my uncle who spent his entire life after the Army working on cars racing cars building them even demolition derby racing for a lot of fun but he was a Master with automobiles or cars whichever you want to call them and diesel buses. He is long gone now and I am 75 now but you sound like him and have the mechanics hands like him. I didn't take after him though but my cousin did since he works on city buses and there is just about nothing he can't fix. So you keep fixing them and I'll keep watching you do it. Some of us here in fairyland take a SWAG guess and we consistently end up on RIGHT side of the Bell Curve, like you.
But like me, I like to think of myself as The Other Half of the population, the half of the population that consistently ends up on the left side of the Bell Curve, when we make a SWAG. In this case, I'd have taken all this effort to get to the problem, and end up finding. after hours of troubleshooting, it would have ended up been not only a weak oil pump with a semi-clogged restricted oil pump inlet tube. I won't forget to mention, the first new replacement oil pump was defective.

I had my truck towed to the dealer because the check engine light was stuck on and it was running very well. A mouse chewed through number 5 spark plug wire and was living in the cabin air filter housing. So they had to order another wire from another dealer. They cleaned and put in a new filter and replaced the battery since it was 7 years old. I said while you have it to change the oil and filter and rotate the tires. They will probably change out the batteries for the tire valve stems because 3 of them quit working. My truck is a 2018 2500hd and barely over 17, 000 miles. Never getting rid of it

Eric like all of us needs another tool box, great job, experience pays off, and remember don't buy chinesium parts, as they now cost too much, Down to the Orange guy and his mob , your only a baby Eric, my legs finger and nearly every other moving part apart from a couple are wrecked, due to mechanical abuse in our job, why do we hit spanners (wrenches) with our hands to undo nuts and bolts, speaking from over the pond here in 10% tariff UK

I was just about to order a set of SK swivel impacts, based on your wrench comments I will find another source. I have a ton of SK that is 40 years old that has held up great, but they have been bought out several times so the quality is not the same. Just replaced a 5/16 deep 6 point, the wall thickness was not as thick. Took the old one that was rounded out after 40 yrs and kissed it on the belt sander to get to good metal.

Eric, JUST WAITaging SUCKS! I’m now 59 and stuff hurts for NO GOOD REASON! The beard is TOTALLY White, lookin like Santa over here! The WORST part is I work with kids in their 20’s, so I’m the OLD GUY at work by FAR! But, they do like my Navy stories from the 80s and 90s, or ate least they pretend to! LOL SO in short, STOP YOUR WHINING and put your big girl panties on and GET BACK TO WORK!

My 2008 legacy has one vvt sensor that starts to stick after about 10k miles. I pull it out and clean it and it’s good for another 10k. I just recently replaced it with an OEM ($200) but kept the old one as a spare. She still clicks when you give it power. However, I don’t have to pull out 2 motor mounts and a bunch of crap to get to it. good to see you both, have a great weekend.

How about we bring back engine bays where you don't have to take apart half of the car to access the front of the engine, never liked transverse setups I'll be honest. Passenger vehicles aren't designed to be serviced like diesels or any other industry, you know it, I know it we all know it folks

I was watching this last night, and because I was in pain from a sore knew, I had to fast-forward during the dog-bone bolt removal. Short on patience I guess However this was the first time I have ever FF on Eric. I feel ashamed. I should have saved the video for when I felt better.

It made me realize how old I am when, you said those were my Dads. I still have mine, but in a newer tool box. I wondered as to how many viewers recognized and have used them in the past

Good call. Seems like I just watched the one where you did the same fix. It wasn't just a guess, it was an educated experienced based guess. With all the bad new parts out there I'm surprised that mechanics don't bench test before installing new parts. Cheers.

This one was awesome, love mrs o asking what was up with the solenoid, I think I bore my wife to tears with talk of timing belts and how satisfied I was after replacing a track rod end and the alignment was still good, because I have a knack haha

I did all 3 of these solinoids on a rogue for the first time on monday. What a pain in the butt to get out, no room to get too the 10mm bolts on the rogue model. Love watching your videos on my break at work. Ive learned alot from you!

Really creepy that on my way home the money light turned on, P0111. Changed the intake VVT solonoid then i see a video from SMA of it. and bought a replacement at autozone and exchanged it because it looked like it was previously opened.
