I show you one way to repair a 2007 Chevy Truck with no oil pressure being displayed on the gauge and a P0523. Greg: I have a '96 Silverado 454/7400 gauge does the same thing- shows zero at idle, then jumps to 50-60 when revved, no engine noise, would have blown by now, been over a year, pretty much assumed it was the sender like you found here, will get around to it sometime- it's a bit of a beast to get to and don't have that cool ratchet you have. I like that creeper thing too- never knew they existed. I learned something. Thanks.

Bought a used 2006 Chevy 2500 6L pickup truck with 350000 kilometres on it. Oil pressure gauge was reading one degree above dead. I bought the truck for near nothing and I thought that I will change the oil pump. So I change the oil pump. New reading on the oil pressure gauge one degree above dead. Turns out that crank bearings were totally worn out. And there was no oil pressure.

Like I always say, if you design it you should have to work on it. I work on diesel equipment and some of the crap I see is unreal. Who the hell designs a piece of equipment with a 4cylinder engine that takes 6 hours to do a valve adjustment. We do tier 4 emissions conversions and I tell my guy all the time put it where they can maintain it or it won't get maintained.

When are you going to disclose to us that every time we see your arms or hands doing a job that its your ASE certified stunt double?
We know this garage is fake like the buildings in old westerns.
You probably have gold trimmed mansion on the other side of the wall.
I dont care because the videos are very helpful.
Thanks

Also if the digital display in like the Escalades mess up, but the vehicle is running fine. If you pull that oil pressure sensor out, there's a little filter down there that you can replace or clean out and that little filter underneath the sensor gets plugged up. I just didn't want on a 2007 Escalade

I had a similar issue. But mine was reading 20psi. Dealer wanted to charge me 500 to do it. I did it myself in 30 mins, with a Delco part. Cost me about 70 in total, tools and all. How do they get away with such prices? I keep the tools used handy, because the damn thing is bound to go out again.

When I was younger I had a 1958 Chevy Bel-air with 348cu. inch Put an oil pressure gage in and started it up. only hsd 20lbs of pressure. I found out that was standard for a 348 back then. Scared me to death. //// love your vids great work.

I enjoy how you chase those wires down with knowledge, experience, savvy and Logic, but, my real Respect comes from getting your fingers dirty with no sissy surgical gloves, like a real mechanic. Thanks to your shows, I learned a lot.

Thank you so much for your knowledge. My 2012 Yukon denali is not showing any pressure and giving off this same code and I'm scared to drive it even though it has oil and the engine isnt knocking
