SMH. It amazes me how car companies assemble cars in such a way that it makes them more money in service. I once wanted fog lights installed and sled the dealer how much it would cost. They charged 2 hours labor. I had the parts and installed them myself in 1. 5 hours. They were factory lights and worked as such, but I had to take front end off car to do it. However, I was not out 300. 00 for installing them. And God help you if you have to replace headlight assemblies, because it also requires removing front fascia. There are brackets that hold headlights in below the bumper line. I got very proficient at it. I was fast without breaking anything.

Hey I have a question, I'm replacing the condenser, compressor, dryer, myself. And what I need to is after I install them. I was told I have to put oil in the system for the condenser and dryer. If so I much would I have to put in and what if i used the r134 cans with the oil mixed in it. Would i have to recharge the system with all the r134 with the oil or just one of that then just plain r134? Its is a 2005 chevy equinox. the same as the Pontiac in this video. Oh yeah I also have a vacuum pump and going to do that before I recharge the system

What always puzzles me is if you watch a majority if not all of the A/C condenser replacement videos you never see any connectors that have to be undone for the front airbag sensors? These cars(Pacifica, Torrent and Town & Country) all have airbags for straight on collisions so where are the sensors? Most are located in the front bumper but yet when Eric O removes it, you never see the connectors being disconnected. Am I missing something?

i had to get my 2006 Pontiac Torrent 3. 4 l v6 Engine rebuilt cause of a blown head-gasket and i got all brand new Sensors replaced last week, but i am getting a check engine light code P0171, lean on Bank 1, do you have any idea's that may help to find the problem. after replacing all of the sensor's, i am getting that code of P0171
i erased the code last week and today the light on the dash came back on. it is the same code P0171.

The Torrents and Equinoxes from 2005-2009 were made in Canada. Engine made in China and transmission made in Japan. I have a 2008 Equinox. My condensor leaked all the freon out too. I watched your tutorial, which I commend you on. You are very thorough in telling everything you're doing. Thanks for this great video. Where is your shop, btw?

I once saw a tree branch go through a condenser, then the radiator. Of course driver kept going till then engine shut down. New cylinder head, timing parts, hoses, t'stat, radiator, condenser, coolant, freon and more. The vehicle is back on the road. Driver even asked when he got the car. Does the A/C work? Uh huh!

Love that A/C charging machine! Seems like that dial thermometer is very responsive and high quality. I was noticing the drive by traffic, seems busy for your small town Avoca. Excellent review to the task of replacing a simple and fairly inexpensive part showing where all the labor hours come from.

Good to know if I ever encounter this issue. Unfortunately, my 2006 Pontiac Torrent's issue is the A/C compressor is inoperable and quite a process including expensive. Since this is my winter vehicle I don't need AC just heat. I have a primary car if I do need AC. Very informative video.

Use AC condenser cleaner every spring to remove all of the grime and salt residue off of your condenser coil. It will reduce the corrosion and make the system more efficient. You can use the same cleaner that is available for cleaning home central AC condenser coils.

Thank you for your video. It helped me so much with my son's car. Somebody backed up into his car and the horn punctured the condenser. I would have spent all day trying to figure this out. This was such a great instructional video.
