Lets change out the HVAC (Heater A/C Control) control module in this 2014 Ford Escape that was having some intermittent problems with it quiting and the battery going dead. Want the same tim tools Eric O. used in the video?

Once again you produce an absolutely wonderful video, that you think stinks. You can not make a bad video. You are a video genius, and if it feels interesting to you it _will_ be interesting to your audience. Three and a half years after posting this video is liked 1678: 12 (140: 1)! It is fascinating to see the amount of force you are willing to apply to the plastic parts. I learned a lot about limits. I also have never seen the removal of plastic from the dashboard. Thanks for showing this to us.

I have a '15 that doesn't always respond to the knob on the right. I can get full windshield air but it never goes full panel (right side knob turned to full left) unless i turn it about 3 clicks right, wait til i hear the actuator start then turn back to full left. Cycle that 3-4, or sometimes a dozen, times before I can get full A/C on a 100 degree Texas day. Would that be an issue with this module or something with the louver actuator like some have with the blend door?

the exact same thing is happening to my car ford told me to replace my battery and it still turned off. did replacing the hvac really do the trick because i can't have my infant in a hot car in Texas and I already paid ford for all those test and they kept my escape for 3 days and just jump started my car and told me that to replace that module would be about 600 plus labor and tool fees after I already paid over 350 for a new battery and test

Hmmm, still a Plug and Play controller in a 2014 but for how long? A lot of fragile plastic tab crap to play with before you can even get to the plug part. Kind of would really suck if you had to pair it to the network afterwards with a J box and a pay for Ford subscription and still find out you find out you need to obtain and punch in your certified HVAC ID you need to obtain through NASTF in order to get the Ford Enigma code.

Hi Eric, I think your video's are great, I have a 2009 ford 4-wheel drive escape, the air conditioner blows cold air for about 30 seconds
then stops and blows warm air, i changed the AC pressure clutch switch, but still have the same problem, would appreciate any advise on what my next step could be, Thanks.

Unnecessary door dinger is one of the most annoying things. At a garage i used to work at other techs would leave doors open and chiming for HOURS, I used to go NUTS! got so bad i would disconnect battery cables while they were at lunch ha

You know, I had cars from the 60s and 70s and back in the day you had to change your oil like ever 1000 miles, plugs every 10000 and engines needed rebuilding at 100, 000. They also rusted out, even the frame. Cars are waaaay better these days

Being a Ford tech I still see those go bad alot still to this day. Had one with intermittent no operation to one with intermittent battery draws. That's on that style and the auto climate control one.

Good video. Thanks for sharing. Be very careful talking to your wife and asking if there are any squiters. LoL. I've always used a battery terminal puller on those windshield wiper arms.

Man these fords are junk! 2y old car and it needed strut bearings, HVAC controller and the wiper arm is STUCK hahaha
Want reliable? Drive Toyota or Honda.
